I checked my email yesterday morning I saw the message listed below from Amazon.

What is confusing to me about this message is that I have made over 260 USD sales through

Firstly read the terms and conditions of the affiliate agreement. In the case of Amazon it is easy to get and hard to keep as you have found out. Move on and find another affiliate network, and in the future never share links with friends and family.

Wow!! I am learning the hard but interesting way. Thanks Catherine. Great advice.

Hi - your 3 qualified sales need to be from 3 customers who have clicked through links on your website or social media accounts. They cannot be friends or family, neither can you send the links through email or Whatsapp.

So, unfortunately, you have broken 2 rules and that is why you didn't get commission and why they don't count as qualified sales.

Thanks Diane for the clarity. I am so grateful the wisdom and support you always share. I wish you all the best.

Hi

First I check source vs email.

You can apply at a later time, when have traffic and can do 3 sales in your first 180 days.

How are those sales were derived? Family and friends don't count.

Thanks million Abie, lesson learned.

Aside from adding affiliate links within my blog posts, what are the others best places (spots) on my website that I could include affiliate links?

To what extent should

Hi Charles

There are differing opinions on when to place affiliate links on your site (and where).
It would probably be best to provide content without affiliate links at first.

Jay (magistudios) also recommends a very uncluttered-looking site so that would mean no widgets running down the sides.

You could, however, place banners in widgets on the right-hand or left-hand side, if you chose to.

A further option is in the footer of your site, you could add banners there with your affiliate links.

Another option I have seen members who promote WA using is to have a tab on the menu that says something like "Free Training" or "No. 1 Recommendation" and that tab is an affiliate link onto Wealthy Affiliate.

Hope this helps you.
Louise

Thanks a million, Louise. You commit is so helpful.

Hi - your first few posts should be purely informational with no selling intent, no affiliate links and not be product based. Otherwise, right from the outset, Google will see it as a "spammy" selling site.

When you do add affiliate links, they should be within a product review post. You need to let your readers know why you recommend this product, is it value for money, what are the pros and cons etc.

Thanks so much Diane. I really appreciate the support.

Hi

One affiliate link per every 500 words.

For example: They may go in specs, image and a CTA for a 1500 words review post.

Thanks very much Abie. Appreciate your comments. very helpful to know. this.

I have come to realize that there are many important parts to pay attention to in order to make a website relevant to both human and machine .

I see SEO, CONTENT, SITE S

add analytics to your site( first thing) then you gather data....
then as Phil says research your niche and write.....
and write....and write....
make sure you have a good user exerience on your site( structure)
keep your site plain at hte moment ( you can come back and do this later after your niche have told you where they want it to go)
but write some more ... and market it...
make sure your niche know you exist...help them....let them get to know you as a helpful person...
find what they are asking for and write about that....
good luck
phil

Amazing! Thanks so much for the support. I highly appreciate the insight you have given me.

In my view, research then content, anything else is a sideshow.. It only takes one post but you never know which post it will be, but it's never the look of your site. but speed is key..

So basic site, add content, low hanging fruit research terms keep an eye on your speed. Good luck, Phil

Thanks a million Phil. Your commit is so helpful.

Hi

Starting out I concentrate on building content addressing issues in relation to my chose niche.

And sharing onto social media platforms.

You'd need this to get traffic and get your site ready to apply for affiliate programs.

Of course seo, gsc, ga set up.

I would follow up and tick checklists covered in the coursework, tasks and activities asked of you to set up correctly.

That brilliant, Abie. Thanks for the support. It is so valuable to me. I will implement of the recommendation you guys have share with me.
