Hello everyone and Welcome Back!

Teach your children green choices now and we can be on our way to living sustainable, it's not too late really, to turn things around. The most effective way for us to teach our children to live a sustainable green lifestyle ourselves and be the example.

Our children watch what we do and copy it. I don't know how many times my granddaughter has repeated my words or expressions or mimicked my actions. It's funny really, like a little parrot. But that just shows me how eager children are to learn and given just the smallest amount of encouragement, coupled with their natural curiosity about the world, how awesome it could be. Mostly a lot of common sense is involved and a little creativity, will go a long way.

Show Them The Way..

Just by showing a natural empathy for the plight of the environment and the animals and even for situations faced by people in developing countries, let's them know there is something we can do to help make a difference. Even if it seems very small to you at the time, it can have a way of snowballing and if enough people get on board, we could make a vast difference

.By writing this blog, hopefully it will inspire another family to take part and teach their children well.

Starting kids early and teaching them that green behavior, should be just a comfortable lifestyle. Your children learn from you and so you should be an example for them and showing them that being green is better, all around for everyone.

.It is not always easy or convenient to live a green lifestyle , but it is necessary.

Well Worth The Effort

Well worth the effort in the end! We have a ways to go yet but I believe a lot of people are on the right track learning how to recycle and reuse.

We are well on our way to building a green society and I hope everyone that reads this, at least give it some thought.

Neighbor, Couldn't Be Bothered

I have a neighbor that just throws really good stuff in the trash and one day I saw her with an enormous bag of baby clothes. When I asked her about it , " Sure take them " she said. She really couldn't be bothered. "As long as they are out of my house she said". Well, OK then and I just happened to know a young couple that was in need of these clothes and yes, you guessed it, here I am lugging this bag over to the couples apartment.

You would have thought it was Christmas! As it turns out, these were like new clothes and the fit was perfect. She had even laundered them and you could still smell the downy softener! lol

My daughter must have read your blog. She's BIG on recycling (I have to admit, even better than me) and she teaches her girls well.

Cathy, in the school where I am currently working there is a great desire to teach more about sustainability to our students. I will share the content of this post with the biogogy teacher who is leading this initiative. Thanks and blessings!

My Son Had to do a Green Weekend project for school. He used regular washable dishes, as we usually do. Pop can was returnable, went shopping at Kroger's, used paper bagging. Used one paper towel.
Lol, not bad. :)
