You are at Wealthy Affiliate (WA) because you told yourself you want to work online. You have been sold on the dream to have a better life and roll in the dough but, do you know that building your resilience is key?

Sometimes, when I am challenged and trying to work through a difficult aspect of building my business, I reflect on the emotional fortitude that Kyle and Carson must have to grow WA into what it is today. I wonder if I have enough resilience to take me through the really tough times that will no doubt confront me at some point.

Do You Have The Staying Power?

Resilience is your capacity to recover quickly from difficulties. In simple terms, it is your toughness. Not how hard you can hit or how many pounds you may be able to dead lift, but rather your emotional and mental capacity and strength.

The statistics that are presented will convince you that you can be wildly successful on the internet. Let's face it, users clicked more than 5 BILLION times and carried out more than 170 MILLION transactions worldwide in 2017.

I cannot start to imagine what those numbers are in 2020 and what they will be in the next 3 years.

So, with such high numbers, you may think that your probability for success is high and can be achieved overnight.

Well, think again!

On average, the affiliate conversion rate hovers around 1%. Now, this percent is an average estimate rather than a proven fact because many affiliates keep personal rates to themselves. (Given the fierce competition in most marketing niches, you can imagine that reaching 2% or 3% conversion is valuable knowledge that is deemed best when guarded well.) - Source: Cospot.

1%!! THAT is the amount of staying power that you will be required to prepare for if you want the big, sustainable success.

Resilience Will Get You There

Resilient people are able to face difficulty and negativity through realistic lenses. With a high level of resilience, you will not erase the stresses because you understand that you cannot.

Instead, you acknowledge that setbacks happen and that sometimes life will be painful and tough. Although you experience emotional pain, grief or loss, your mental and emotional capacity and support network are strong enough to get you through and allow you to bounce back healthily.

With a big bucket of resilience, you can definitely persist and excel and enjoy your piece of this global pie.

At WA, you learn blogging, SEO optimization and social media marketing. These remain the top 3 traffic sources as an Affiliate Marketer.

You are in the right place but, are you willing to invest in your emotional resilience to achieve the level of success that you hunger for?

The answer rests with you. Everything else is just a click away. (Pun intended. 😉)

Cheers, to your success!

Thank you for pointing out the importance of resilience, Cassi. Encountering diificulties is the fuel for success.

Many of us have been or are underdogs, and no one expects us to succeed. Using the underdog position and "fuel it" into action and progress is to our advantage, and brings results.

Very good motivation and I love the focus on the top 3 sources for affilate marketing.

-Roy-

Roy, you have said it well.

When you think about those stats, the ones who succeed, especially, in a big way, are the ones who stuck within and never gave in.

They kept moving forward in spite of what they encountered.
The thought of that alone is motivating for me. 🙂

The top 3 sources are what we are taught to do here at WA.
And it works!

Have a really good day.

Absolutely, awesome insights.

Especially the potential for us, Abie. 🙂

Thank you.

Hi Cassi, thank you for sharing this insightful post. I especially liked the definition of resilience > Resilience is your capacity to recover quickly from difficulties. I think that is an overall life thing.

All the best,
Michael

You are welcome, Michael.

I had an interesting discussion with a WA Member about this yesterday and I agree with his point.

Many persons get dispondent and give up quickly because they want to make money quickly rather than invest their efforts into BUILDING a business.

Building calls for a different mindset and a LOT more tenacity. 🙂

Thank you.
Cassi

Hi Cassi, I find that is common. Some people want to make money without doing the work.

Best wishes,
Michael

True, Michael.

Resilience is definitely one of the keys to success Cassi. Jim

It is, Jim.

We must be able to weather the storms that will inevitably come our way.

Thank you.
