Money Can Buy You Views But Not Build Your Brand - Prioritise!

By now, you may be a little tired of hearing me say: "Take your time."

No worries. I will keep on saying it until it sticks.

Too often, I observe members, in the early stages of training and learning deep dive into areas that result in a waste of time and money, resulting in much frustration.

This message from the famous Influencer, John Henry, resonated with me this morning:

Content IS Your Business

What is your business?

What are you here to master at Wealthy Affiliate (WA)?

You got it!

CONTENT! CONTENT CONTENT!

It makes absolutely no sense paying for ads and pushing views of your content if it is not adequate or of good quality.

The best and most productive thing that you can do in your first 6 months to a year is to focus on strengthening your writing skills, testing them out with organic traffic, fine-tuning and building your brand.

You will know when your content is good and when you are ready to pull in heaps of traffic. By then, you would be moving from a place of strength with the ability to manage any force than comes at you.

Invest Your Time Wisely

You are here at WA to learn and to build online businesses.

Learning takes place in many ways:

  • training,
  • asking questions about what you do not understand or need more information on,
  • doing your own research,
  • not getting distracted by the noises that may surround you,
  • trial and error,
  • getting feedback about your writing,
  • reaching out to members who may be able to help you move forward.

WA is a learning engine room.

It has the power to take you anywhere you want to go.

Remember though: YOU are in the driver's seat. Learn to steer and operate ALL the pedals BEFORE you stamp your foot on the gas.

You wouldn't want to hit a wall when speeding.

Have a productive day!

Another great post Cassi.
I used to have trouble balancing everything I do; some might say too much work and not enough play (although I loved my work).
Nowadays I have a way to prioritise everything I do, not just the business activities, and strike a much better balance.
:-)

As they say, Richard, when you love what you do it is never "work".
I have grown to REALLY love this business and being at WA.

Nothing about this "work" is a chore. 🙂

It is true distractions are everywhere and learning to ignore them when necessary is difficult.

Once we perceive our time spent in WA on our businesses as "work" it will get easier to ignore the distractions. If we do not perceive it as working on our business, then distractions will continue to be a problem.

Alex

You make a very valid point, Alex.

We must view building our business with seriousness and depth.

Thank you for sharing.

Good information. Post like this keeps someone like me on the fence from jumping off. I always feel behind like I am not doing enough. But i am on this site daily, and I am doing some form of the training everyday. This just makes me want to keep pushing. Thank you

Keep pushing yourself forward, Cassandra.
No pressure required.
Work at YOUR own pace and make sure that you are LEARNING.

Get your foundation right and everything else will fall in line.

Hey I am Lula.
Agree with you totally, that's what I wrote in my third blog post on WA, "content is king" that you cannot fool. No shortcuts either. From day one, newbies must vacate time to write content because it is the most authentic element have on site in addition to the longest time for it to quality and rank on the search engines. We must always commence from tasks that are most difficult to least challenging ones last.
Wishing you a terrific day.

Lula, I like this:
"We must always commence from tasks that are most difficult to least challenging ones last."

That helps to ease the pressure we may place on ourselves and help us move forward lightly.

Thank you for sharing.
Cassi

That is very kind of you to say, Jeff.

Thank you VERY much. 🙂
