Google’s June AND July 2021 Core Algorithm Updates Are Happening Now
Google is at it . . . again!
Our friends at Google started to roll out their Broad Core Algorithm Update on 2 June 2021. It was supposed to only one core update but my understanding is that they could not get everything ready in time for June.
So . . . lookout for another core update in July 2021. This is a VERY rare occurrence although not as rare as a Blue Moon which does not really look blue and may not necessarily be full.
You May Not Notice A Change
According to Danny Sullivan at Google, you may not notice anything different following the rollout.
If you do experience any negative changes, there is no need to panic as things will probably settle back down after part 2 in July 2021.
Do note that this also works for any positive changes. Enjoy them if you get them as they could be short-lived.
1,000s Of UX Updates Per Year
Whilst I know that most people focus on Google's core updates, remember that they also make 1,000s - yes, THOUSANDS - of updates each year to improve the quality of search results for Users.
In my humble opinion, this is where your focus should always be placed - on your User Experience (UX).

Relevance Is The Lesson
This is the primary and most fundamental lesson.
Relevance!
If your site has been negatively impacted by Google's core updates, the learning could be that your content may need to be updated.
Why?
Because Users may be looking for something different and not the same things that they were looking for yesterday, last week, last month or last year when you wrote your blog posts.
The fix is simple: Refresh and update your content.
Don't Write It And Forget It
This is a lesson for us all.
When I looked at Google's schedule for updates in 2021, I timed some of my websites' refreshes to coincide with theirs.
June and July are going to have me busy with upgrades to my UX, refreshing content and adding more current content to my sites.
Whatever you do, make sure that you invest some of your valuable time into making your content more relevant for today's Users.

Absolutely Cassi, Google does like to play around with its updating schedule when you least expect it.
But user experience is the core base of what we try to achieve here as marketers so optimizing everything at our disposal is a must!

Thanks Cassi. Just today I got an email from Google Analytics about my stats. Tho my site is fairly new, it's useful to have this kind of info in order to remain relevant.
