Do Your Actions Reflect The RESULTS You Want? (How To Fail Before You Start!)

. . . the bucket fills.

I have been a member of Wealthy Affiliate (WA) for 51 months or 222 weeks or 1,555 days. During that time, Grammarly has analyzed over 9 million words for me.

Not all of those words were for my websites or WA. Thanks to my learning here, I was able to add new service lines to my boutique firm and that requires A LOT of writing.

A key early learning was that I had to be committed and consistent. Committed to my learning and actions and, consistent with working in and on my online business.

When I started, I was working full-time and raising a talented and active 9-year-old. Both were very demanding.

BUT . . . big BUT . . . I set aside time every single day to learn and practice. I read and wrote every single day.

Many of those days were 16 to 20-hour days, while my daughter slept with her head on my lap because she wanted to keep me company.

I never saw those times as sacrifices.

They were investments in me, her and our future.

Icing On The Cake

I did not come to WA to pass the time away. If you are fortunate enough to be able to do that, I am happy for you.

First and foremost, this was a serious personal and business decision for me.

Do not get me wrong.

I ❤️ our WA Community and all that it offers but I am not going to fool you and tell you that I am here for the company and the fun. Those aspects are icing on the cake.

Before I was able to fully embrace and enjoy the icing though, I had to bake the cake.

No!

I had to LEARN HOW to bake the cake, try and fail many times, struggle, ask a lot of questions then, bake my first cake and keep baking cakes until I was satisfied with the results.

Millions Of Goals And Dreams

I am curious though.

Thousands of people pass through WA with lots of grand goals and dreams. I see them when I am welcoming new members.

Their reasons for joining sound convincing.

What About The Actions To Achieve?

Then, I go hunting for the actions being taken to see how aligned our WA Members' actions are with what they have written.

At that point, I start to scratch my head.

Did I read the words wrong?

Maybe the timing was misstated.

Maybe they are just checking us out and will return when they are ready.

Maybe these goals are not a high priority.

The number of actions that are invested in the millions of goals and dreams written just do not add up.

You Have To Do The Work

The only way that you will accomplish your goals and achieve your dreams is to put in the time and do the work that is required.

Success will not happen overnight or drop in your lap from the sky.

You alone can make it happen.

And that always requires some amount of change.
