COVID Is Not The Only Thing Contagious

It is now 11:25 p.m. and it has been a long day. It is a Public Holiday here and also the first day of our 2-week stay-at-home to flatten the curve national initiative.
I am taking the opportunity over the next 2 weeks to work my butt off and get my websites where I want them. I do have some catching up to do as I have been doing A LOT of keyword research.
Time to write now and add to my almost 100 website posts.
Apprehension Is Setting In
As tired as I am, I am compelled to speak about some emerging behaviours - being played out by a few I am sure. They are making me a little apprehensive though and causing me to think about how I navigate in our Community.
There have been quite a few comments about negative behaviours here at WA. These comments took me by surprise as I have not had those experiences.
I find it to be very distasteful and unfortunate.

Global Stress Is Contagious
My conclusion is that generally, people are becoming stressed out about our global events. Stress brings out the worse in us, if we do not or are not able to manage our behaviours. It is also contagious because we have a natural tendency to react.
People are desperate, angry, hurt, experiencing loss, confused, fearful, conflicted during this time. I understand that and expect it. As a result, I do my best to not take negative comments and feedback personally.
As hard as it may be sometimes, I leave the monkey where it should be - on the back of the sender.
Control What You Can
It is the people at WA who make it great, led by Carson and Kyle. I have no intentions of allowing a few persons to upset that apple-cart and cause our wonderfully supportive members to retreat.
Think about that for a while.
If you have been negatively impacted, I empathise. At the same time, I ask you to dust it off, leave it where you see it and continue to be the engaging and communicative person that we all treasure here.
There is strength in unity! Let us keep united for the good that we value att WA.
