WA Day 20 & 21: Writing, Wine and Brainstorming

Day 20

This was a long but good day. I never got a chance to get online (while sober) because I was traveling the whole morning. What I did do is pull out my laptop and do some banging on the keyboard. The first set of banging ended up being a post suitable for my personal website, which was a really good thing. A little bit before writing the post I thought to myself "Should I write personal blog posts on the niche site?" I was leaning towards yes and it will definitely sometimes be yes, if it fits the niche, but the post I wrote would definitely not pair well with the niche site. It was a long personal journal entry.

I also did some writing specifically for the niche website. The site is going to taylored to gamers. I was writing a page that was going to be the "Start Here" page. It came out nice, and it will need more edits, but I came up with a different title for it. "Press Start" :)

Arriving in Milwaukee

Once I landed my buddy picked me up with his girl and another buddy of ours in tow. The funny thing about the other buddy is that he lives in Taiwan too! We just happened to be here at the same time.

The rest of the day went dinner -> 3 beers at dinner -> liquor store for box wine -> tea, box wine and taichi practice -> me passed out on the couch... lol

Day 21

SiteComments round 2...

I just can't get into the comments exchange. Maybe it's just because I didn't get connected to the right blog posts. I'll give it another shot again later, but the site feedback system is way more my speed.

The rest of my WA time was spent brainstorming with this really cool dude.

LOL FTW

Really cool dude. ;) lol Wasn't sure how much or how little to say. lol

LOL No worries. I've only been mentioning it obliquely, but I'm not overly worried about it. I'm just not advertising it too much because there are some people that you know get a little ruffled. :)

6 to go! Just helping you out with a comment you can reply to. ;) lol

LOL yeah they actually help me out more on my posts but thanks. :P

Roger! I'll have to pop over there!

Thanks. :) Some of the latest ones aren't getting the traction I was seeing. Either I'm losing my touch or there really is something to Mel's strategy of follow everyone.

Sounds like a fun time Casey. To me that is what this time of year is all about. Having a great time with family and friends, reflecting on the past year and planning what I want to achieve in the new year. Have a good one.

The New Year is right around the corner for me here in Taiwan but... I still want to get my WA day in! Travel and jetlag kicked my butt the last two days! lol

Year I remember my trip to Japan. Crossing the International Dateline really does kick your but. Have a great day and have a very Healthy, Happy and Prosperous New Year Cassy.

I reviewed a fuel additive which is not related to my niche. Maybe it will be organized later on. I think there's no bad thing in it.

It's amazing how sometimes the flow just happens. I am all for personal posts, however related or unrelated. This reminds your audience of you as a person, build that connection. Something that is not typical may catch their attention and bring them back to your site.

Site Feedback is more my speed too. You're not alone.

Yeah, I've gone really deep with some of them. I had one guy implement all four suggestions and ask me to take a look again and it was a lot better. :) Not feeling the comments... lol
