on my new site I am using the Royal Magazine theme. I really want to use this theme cause the layout is great and the scrolling text that goes across the very top of the site

OK figured it out, not sure why but if you are going to have a home page it has to be a static home page. If you don't then the black box still shows up in the center of the screen always on the home page.

In conclusion still follow all other steps if you are having an issue like I was with the Royal Magazine theme and then do this last part of making your home page a static home page and you will be black box free.

Other option is more simple, just simply don't have a home page and follow the first steps only to get rid of the one black blog box it really does take away from how rich this theme looks in my opinion so I am making sure I don't have that box in play.

second box still showing up when you look at it by not using the wordpress view but can't see it at all when editing in word press troubleshooting still will update if I can fix it

Ok played with it and figured it out, you have to do two things to get rid of the first black blog header box, thing is huge, and then to get rid of the black box that covers your content on the home page if you set up the hope page is another feature you have to turn off.

To turn off the first one you need to go to appearance, then customize, then click on home page settings. Now you will see show slider on blog page. click that circle slider and it will turn it off. now click on the publish button at the top left of your page there.

Now to get the other part turned off you will navigate once again down in that customize area down to home/front page settings then choose the slider section from the two options. Now once again click on that circle slider to turn it off then finally once again publish and this will fix the last issue.

I hope this will help anyone else that might ever have this issue and thanks to those that did try to help me both her and in live chat.

You can use any theme that has a top widget area and create your own scrolling text

thank you, but on that site it automatically tells people what my latest posts have been along with how long ago the posts were made. is there a way to do that with this widget?

I wish I could be more help with this but I suspect that you'll get your answer soon. It usually doesn't take long.

thank you and I hope so I really do like this theme.

figured it out. There is a delete website at the bottom of the siterubix then details on the same bar where you click login, and then at the very bottom it says delete this website. I did that then I started from scratch and hopefully this will stay fixed now. I updated everything including the theme before doing any deleting or editing.

Great! Now you can leave this here for others to see eventually and get help from it perhaps or you can remove it. Either way works. Glad you figured it out!

Nope it messed up again. I posted the privacy policy and then the about me and then created the menu and then closed it all out and then poof did it again so I have no choice have to pick another theme hopefully someone knows of one with that same type of scrolling text here

if anyone can please help still, would really appreciate it. Thanks
