The Motivation Behind Joining WA

The past seven days are the classic example of why I joined Wealthy Affiliates in an effort to learn how to make money online.

In the past week, we have taken 3 of my daughters' cars to the shop for major repairs. My car is next because the AC went out about a month ago, and you cannot live through summer in Texas without AC in your car.

So, here's the story.

First, my next to youngest daughter Abby asked to take in her car for some regular maintenance and repairs. I let her use my car to get to/from work and asked my youngest daughter Michelle (whom I homeschool) to come get me to do school with her. I say "come get me" because she's living with friends while we remediate our house for black mold, which has been making her very sick for the past three years.

While Abby's car was in the shop, my oldest daughter Bethany got stranded in a Starbucks parking lot and had to call my son for help. She was able to drive the couple of miles home, but then she needed to borrow a car. So, she and Abby worked out a schedule for sharing my car.

The next day, Abby's car was finished. Great! They worked together to get Bethany's car to the shop.

Abby and Bethany have been wanting to get an apartment together, so they headed to town in Abby's freshly fixed car to do a walk through. On the way, there was some sharp object in the road that popped Abby's front tire.

They canceled the walk through, called roadside service to put on the spare tire, and then Abby came home. Within the hour, I headed out the door with her to help get her tire replaced. Thank goodness for road hazard coverage!

Bethany's car was in the shop for four days, and since she was borrowing my car, I borrowed my second daughter Jessica's car to go do school with Michelle yesterday.

After school, I stayed at my friend's house to work on my website because it was peaceful and quiet. I was there until 11:30 p.m. last night.

It was pitch black outside when I left, so dark that I couldn't see my own hand in front of my face. Usually, there are plenty of stars shining in our east Texas skies at night, and it's fairly easy to see. Not last night!

My friends have just cut down a bunch of trees on their property around the driveway, and you guessed it, I hit a stump with Jessica's car. Left a huge whole in her radiator.

I headed straight to the shop at 11:39 p.m. and asked Jess to come pick me up because I had busted her car!!

I told the shop owner today that we were trying to help keep them in business.

With medical bills piling up for Michelle, loan payments for remediation of black mold in our house, and all the car repairs, we are beyond broke. This is our life, and it has been for years.

It doesn't take rocket science to understand why I joined Wealthy Affiliates. Yes, I could get a job somewhere, but with endless trips to the doctor and homeschooling Michelle, I would have to work the night shift somewhere. I've done it before (during COVID), but I'd really rather not.

Learning how to run an online business is the perfect solution for me, and I am so, so thankful for WA. I couldn't do it without them.

Someday, opening the app to my bank and looking at our meager balance will not be the first thing I do every morning. I can't wait!
