OK, so I have gotten a bit stuck on the idea of putting affiliate links on my posts…like, can’t bring myself to do it kind of stuck.

I guess maybe its fear

Trying something is better than nothing. At least you will learn something.

I am glad you figured it out. Super congrats.

Just following up—I did it, LOL. I created affiliate links in a post, and they work great.

Goerge has been a great help here. I am glad that you are on your way up and making huge progress!!!

Hi - well done! And now that you have affiliate links, don't forget you will need an Affiliate Disclosure.

Product reviews are expected to have related product affiliate links. Make sure your link uses the rel="sponsored" . Most affiliate programs will probably already have that included. But that tells Google you are using an affiliate link and it just helps the search engines.

The thing that hurts your site is if your site is 100% product reviews and no informational or few informational posts. For best traffic growth it has been suggested that 70% of the posts should be informational and 30% product reviews.

People search the internet for definitions, how to, guides, etc. They are looking for help and understanding.

If you haven't used it already you may want to use http://answersocrates.com to see questions people ask about your niche.

Follow the principles taught in WA about good SEO and you will be fine. Adding new posts to your site on a regular basis is very important when a site is new.

Thank you! This actually put my mind at ease because I am a numbers person.

I am currently watching the SEO Cheatsheet Checklist, and it’s great.

I’ve never done a product review, so I need to research that on the WA site as well.

I’m sure reviews are probably coming up soon in training…

Here's a product review by Jay, WA webinar instructor.

Hers a quick outline

Introduction
Product Specifications
What is the Product?
Who Created the Product?
How Does the Product Work?
What Do You Get With the Product?
What Did I Think of the Product? (This is the most important section now and you should aim to be as detailed as possible about WHAT YOU THINK).
Product Pros.
Product Cons.
Conclusion

This is great! I think I will make a product review my next goal for posting.

Thank you!!

You are very welcome.

Kyle covers this pretty well in the tuition.

He does a great job, I was just nervous about doing it for some reason!

Can someone give me the steps for adding a logo to my website?

Thanks!

If you have an issue with your website, things you can do is change theme, or

You may need to empty the browser cache, refresh and try again. Try URL in a different browser or mobile device.

You can also empty servers cache.
Websites > Site Manager > Details > Sitespeed > Empty site cache

if the above doesn't do it, you can still reach out to site support

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support

You can upload to your WordPress sites back office via Appearance > Customize

Site Identity.

You can also upload a favicon.

in you word press back office there is a menu on the left hand side of the page if you scroll down there will be a link that says appearance.

Click on that and it will bring up a sub menu. In the sub menu will be a link that says customize.

Click on that and and it will take you to the customize section of your word press site.

In the customization area on the left hand side once again in the menu you see there there will be a menu item that says site identity.

click on that and that will be where you can upload your logo and make decisions on placement and so forth.

Hope this helps you out. Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks Joseph, this was real plain and easy to follow.

Yes! Thank you for your feedback. It turns out that I was actually having trouble with my site not letting me do any customization because of my laptop. Go figure.

I guess it is too old? I tried both of my Mac laptops and neither one worked. But they are both old!

When I switched to my newer iPad, I had success.

Perseverance proves positive action works in the long run.

Great stuff! Glad it worked out

When in appearance -> customize -> header it will usually tell you what size to make your logo because it will be cropped.

Also many themes give an option for Logo placement - above or beside the Website title..

Thank you! I am actually waiting on site support because I cannot access my theme customization

Okay

First, get a logo designed. Then you can add it to wherever you want it to appear, but typically in a header. You might also want to use it as a site icon in Appearance >> Customize >> Site identity.

Thanks, Phil! I will try again. I did start by creating my logo, but I haven't been able to figure out putting it on my site.

When I go to appearance>>customize>> I get a blank page for some reason.

the customization says "loading" but never loads

Well, that's wrong. Appearance >> Customize should show you:
Active Theme
Site Identity
Menus
Widgets
Home Page Settings
Additional CSS

I'd go to WA Help and ask Site Support to check it out. You need that fixed.

You can look at any of the websites listed in my profile to see how I've used logos.

thanks!

Some of my logos I've had done on Fiverr but mostly I've grabbed a free image and cut out a portion to use as a logo.
