No, I'm not talking about getting involved with the AWOL Academy scam or the bike tour. I'm talking about taking a couple weeks off from WA while I'm moving.

If you saw my post "Welcome to Carol's Cascades - My Little Piece of Paradise!, you know that I have sold my home and will be moving into my apartment in town soon. Due to all the work involved with packing, calling utilities for both places, and the actual move, I will not have time to be online much during this time.

At this time, I don't know who my new internet provider will be, so it is possible that there might even be a few days when I don't even have internet service.

However, I will do my best to keep you informed of my progress with the move if I have a few minutes here and there to sit down at the computer and write a quick post.

Although I am very sad to be leaving my beautiful mountain retreat, I am also excited about the newest chapter in my life.

Adios, amigos! I will miss you. See you in a couple weeks.

Good luck in your adventure. Look forward to you coming back.

Thanks so much.

Carol, I wish you the best in your move. Looking forward to your return, hurry back.

Hymmmn, you come back to face WA disciplinary panel my dear.!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh noooooooooooooooooo!

A move IS a lot of work do. I remember moving into my current home. My wife and I did most all of ourselves. We were only moving across town from a rental into our own home that we had just closed on. 18 years ago. I will keep you in my prayers that things go smoothly for you. And at risk of stating the obvious...we will be here when you’re done!! See you on your return.

Thanks so much. Will miss everyone, but glad to have our wonderful community and WA to come back to.

i'll miss you too. Really look forward to reading your posts. As they say' "hurry back".

That's so nice. Thank you very much. I appreciate that a lot.

Courage

Thanks.

Best of luck with your move Carol :)

Thanks, Mia.

Oh I hope it goes smoothly Carol! Moving is so much work!!! Good luck and see you soon.

Jessica

Thanks, Jessica. I think it will be fine. I just have to concentrate on getting everything done and the house cleaned before closing day. I have a lot of things already packed and in storage, so now I gotta move it from there to my new home. Most of what I'll be moving the last week of August will be clothes, etc. I sold the house furnished, so there won't be too many heavy pieces to move. Just a recliner, and some family heirlooms that I'm taking with me.

Well I guess that is good. Do you have to buy furniture for the new place?

Yes. I have purchased my bedroom furniture ( antique pecan bed, oak mirror, night stands, and amoire instead of a dresser.) Having a ball deciding what style of furniture I want, etc. My sister is coming up this weekend, and we will be hitting the antique stores in search of the perfect whatever! I wanted her input about colors and style of couch I want. My house is all decorated with bears and "cabin" decor, but I'm going with a new look and feel in the apartment.

A new look is always exciting! We had a ball getting a few new pieces of furniture. Before that it was always used, old, whatever worked etc.

I know what you mean. 20 years ago, I bought my house furnished, but it was mostly discards from Florida that didn't really fit a mountain cabin. I have replaced everything except my bedroom set, which is too big for the apartment.

Moving can be stressful...but I'm sure you'll be enjoying the process...an exciting new adventure. Have fun.
Debbie

You're right, Debbie. It is stressful, nostalgic, and exciting all at once! I've been sorting through boxes in my storage shed that have been there for 20 years. My son's baby pictures, his art work, his old toys. Brings back lots of happy memories...and makes it difficult to decide what to keep and what to toss!

Nope you can't C. Can't do it! Get the cell phone out and start making comments!!!

All kidding aside, Good Luck with the Move. We will miss ya!

Thanks, Kaju. My phone won't do much good. It's stupid! I'll try to get a smart remark just for you and Cheryl in now and then!

Cool-lio!

Grins
