When Marketing on Twitter, we need to go beyond Tweet
When marketing on Twitter, we need to go beyond tweeting consistently. It takes dedication for us to reel in those followers and get regular engagement. We need to be strategic in our media campaigns.
TWO TOOLS YOU CAN USE FOR TWITTER:
Bit.ly:
- You can sign up for a free account.
- Bit.ly can be used to shorten and share links to multiple Twitter and Facebook accounts.
- You can monitor performance of these links enabling a speedier process of content sharing.
- You will be able to find out how your followers interact and react to your content.
- You can set up an enterprise account.
Hootsuite:
- Allows you to schedule posts, for a more consistent feed.
- Posts directly to Twitter and other social media pages.
- Monitor feeds and interact with those you follow and your followers.
- Track conversations via hashtags.
- Basic Analytics.
- Content suggestions.
- Also offers Professional, Team, Business and Enterprise plans where you can customize the tool to your requirements.
Although I haven't had a chance to use these tools myself, I definitely want to try them out.
Has anyone used these tools?
Would like to know your experiences of using them

I am a totally newbie to social media. I don"t understand it at all. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Caroline that is very good sense, the scatter approach is not going to cut the mustard, thank you for the info. The thing is that to get benefits we need to have the time to develop our presence. this is where software and applications can be so beneficial .
Hi Paul. I'm not at the stage of marketing my website yet, but I will have to find out more about Facebook marketing
Thanks or this wealth of information Caroline! I will try to absorb it. I had just been looking at my AKA Twitter account and seen that someone offered me a free link to Commun.it Er, its an app. I signed in with my Twitter account, gave C. permission to read my tweets, look at my followers, etc. C. seems to spit out similar information like Hootsuite and schedule tweets.
I was just going to come in here to ask if anyone knows about Commun.it. I am confused who to go with and C. is offering of Black F. P discount, of course! Does anyone know, if Commun.it as good as Hootsuite?
I just don't get twitter... I don't know what it is, it might just be me :) Thanks for sharing Caroline....
I didn't at the start, but I learned. I found out about WA through a member, who was tweeting on there.
twitter is awesome. I have built a reasonable following manually over the past few months over a couple of accounts. I love the challenge :-)
Twitter is definitely on my radar for 2017. I haven't fully embraced social media as part of my online marketing strategy but I'll certainly be looking into it more aggressively next year.
Yes I know what you mean. I have been concentrating on content and setting up my website. Thanks for commenting

That's the only downside to social media because it requires so much time. And when you're marketing on FB, Twitter, Pinterest, G+ and Instagram, there just aren't enough hours in the day, even using automated software.
As bloggers, we've either gotta invest the majority of our time writing content, spending time at WA getting comments and engaging with members OR spending time on social media.
I've had small successes from engaging with people on social media but my biggest successes are from the search engines.
Neil
Thanks Neil for reading and your valuable input. I have decided to work on my content first, then worry about the marketing later
You're welcome, Caroline! :)
I see social media as an additional strategy to implement. Although, it's worth investing into Facebook post boosts and ads if you have the funds and can get people to convert into customers/commissions.
OH! Light bulb just came on, lol! Thanks
No worries! Lol
