A little determination
I would just like to share a story of my Dad, 9 weeks ago today he had a fall while out shopping on his own and broke his hip, he was admitted to hospital by ambulance to have surgery the next morning, when he got there they realised his heart rate was so slow it could stop any minute and he had right side pneumonia, they say everything happens for a reason, well they said if he hadn't of fallen and got to hospital when he did they gave him 3 days to live because of his pneumonia.
Anyway 2 weeks after being bed ridden he had a pacemaker fitted so they could operate on his hip, slowly his pneumonia cleared up and today he was released from hospital.
I am now with him for a few days as he lives 180 miles away from me but he is also having carers come in 4 times a day.
He is 86 years old!
He still has fight in him and determination and even though his life and ours will never be the same, he is here with us for now.
Never give up.....that saying can go for anything in life and life itself.

Glad all is better and he will be moving close to all of you. I have recently moved closer to family and it truly is best to be with family. Blessings. :)
Your dad is very lucky to have a great daughter like you. Without you, he may have just said to hell with it and gave up. You evidently love him very much and that love is a major contributor to his recovery. Keep it up Paula and your dad will probably be in your life for at least another sixteen years.
Thank you Larry for your kind words, I also have a twin sister and a brother who have helped, when dad is strong enough he is moving down with us which will make life a lot easier. 16 years haha that's very optimistic but not impossible

Oh Paula, that was definitely a silver lining from the fall! I pray your Dad continues to heal and sees his health totally restored!
