Information overload what to do with it alll

I have been in this training program for about 2-3 weeks now and I am finding so much information that my head is spinning. I have a domain name, I have a blog idea that will allow me to change my content and still stay fresh, I have the knowledge about the terminology, keywords, search engines, autoblogging, etc. I know about joining affiliates to promote my blog, checked out all I could using key words related to my content and continued subject for a few bloggs. O.K. now what, I'm frozen, do not know what to do next. My videocard is not working, still, so I can not access webinars on building websites, but there is alot of info out there to help me do that plus asking fellow members on WA. Its like I have writers block only not really. Its the steps that are keeping me addled. What do I do first, write my blog, find affiliates to join to promote or link to my blog, set-up my web page? Which way do I go and patience is not why my husband married me! Is it so simple that I'm overthinking the whole thing or is it just over my head? I find it hard that I can council people on they're relationships and give advice on addiction but cant get this blog going. I have another on-line job that enables people to call me for advice on these problems but, the traffic is slow and I desperately need for this to work out for me. I am moderately educated, have a fairly good head on my shoulders with plenty to say about alot of things, I'm humble to be even admitting this to everyone. So whats the problem with me. Am I too afraid to fail? Well, yes I am but I also know that with failure you really are obtuse if you do not learn from it. Well, off I go to another day of research, reading, taking notes and getting red eyed! Hi to everyone ou there in WA land. If you have any advice, send it right here to me, I need some honest feedback. You wont hurt my feelings, I'm tuff that way, but if the need strikes you a pat on the back wouldnt hurt this old gal either. Why should I be asking for a pat on the back? What have I done to deserve it? Well maybe just for tenacity, or sitting at my computer everyday for hours reading what all you WA members have to say and taking it all in. You are an abundance of knowledge rolled up in one website and I appreciate finding you. Have a blessed day everyone.

Hello Paula! You have had some pretty good advice given by some of the previous commentators here. All I can add is yes, take one thing at a time and master it before going onto the next, and apply what you have mastered.
I became totally befuddled by the huge amount of information also, because one thing led to another and that led to something else until you start seeing your own tail and realising hey, i'm chasing myself here. What do I need to do now?
Get your self a framework to work from. Step one, so and so, step two, this. step three that, etc. That way it all begins to make some sense and gives some structure to what you are doing.
Otherwise you can get lost. Best wishes for your success and have a blessed and happy Christmas!

If it helps, you and many more of us, including me go through this phase. Just to give you my take. I did the article writing course at Street Articles first whilst I was also reading the training. Then having done the articles I felt I knew enough to start a website and went through this training. Made a lot of mistakes but by having a focus on a single next step this helped me to clear my mind enough to actually do it which is of course the key thing - take action and achieve something. You will then feel much better even if it's only one article published.
Hope this helps,
Regards
Hudson

Thanks Hudson. Will give that much thought.

hi! I agree. In the "Getting Started" training by Kyle, he stated to "act." Therefore, I would take a break from reading and learning and put what you have learned thus far into action. However, because you have done more reading than some of us, your website/blog will probably go up faster :) -which is good for you!

My understanding with our blog website is that there should be really good content on it first. I've even noticed that some of the affiliate program companies that I've looked into won't accept an affiliate application if the website is under construction. The website must be up and running.

Have Faith! -enjoy your evening too! :)

Hi...I've been here a week. Your blog made me smile. Thank you.

Merry Christmas Callecat, "Make this day and everyday the next best day for the rest of your life"

One thing I would say is don't read too much. I'm guilty on this one myself but the more time you are reading about stuff, the less time you are working on your own things.

I am not however saying you shouldn't learn from the vast amount of information here at WA but if you're reading about starting a PPC campaign and you have a review website, that's not really gonna help you at this point.

A bit of advice for writing, and writing isn't my strongest assest, is to break down your posts into smaller paragraphs as it helps people read it easier and it seems like your reading less. When I see a massive amount of words all together like that I think "man that's a lot of reading!" Just a tip :)

I would also suggest working on posting content on your website and definitely put up good content before worrying about making money from it. I know the general thought is "what if I get traffic and I don't have anything to sell them?" Don't worry about that, the success will come once you have traffic and people have a reason to visit your site/blog and continually come back.

And way to go on starting here! It can be a bit overwhelming at times but keep at it and keep working on anything you can...posts, blogs, themes, videos, anything you can think of! And if you stay at it and work hard you WILL SUCCEED.

Have a great day :)
Jacob
