Affiliate Program
Well my one task in my module, to sign up for one program. So I picked one, this one did not give any percetages and seemed very involved. So was able to find a place to sign up and you have to state your entire business plan, I filled out everything including the business plan, made sure everything was saved and went on to the next task and came back sure enough everything was gone. Mind you I was frustrated and it was 5 Am, and nothing to show that I worked on for so long.
So, my friends in cyber land what is a good place to start, especially with no followers as of yet and just starting out. I have to go back to the list and pick again.
They were asking for a business name which I did not have, so I made one up. They also asked for my social and Tax ID - Which again I did not sign up for. Should I sign up for a DBA and my tax ID -- Since I am starting 3 other online businesses Do I need 3 different Tax I D And DBA? Let me know please -- Thats next on my long list of todo's.
Update on website -- I think I finally figured it out. I took time and figured where everthing had to go and how things were set up and moved. So my skills are IMPROVING, YEAH.
I SEE THE LIGHT!!

Thank you - finally -- you feel lost for so long and never think there is an ending insight. Well its a glimmer and now I need to learn how to make is shine.
Happy Thanksgiving
Depending on where you live will determine what you should file as...
I would look up the pros and cons or the different types of business structures and file accordingly. Generally in the USA if you don’t file your entity will become a DBA.
If you file generally you can have your other online businesses under the main business entity.
I would seek out professional help from a lawyer or even your own local authorities such as city hall or Secretary of State.
Hope this helps!

I have one more question, when fill out the affiliate application, That ask for the tax id and my business name. So Should I get these in place.
2nd question - reviewing the company kyle advised, I was expecting more cut dry information. what is the difference between the Publisher and advertiser. I reviewed the publisher they do not provide information to what it is about or the percentage on commission. They juse request to join.
I just don't want to join something and get ripped off. I have had some bad experiences on the internet because I want to believe and succeed.
I just seeing if you know how this works and gives guide me in the right direction. Thank you for your response -- Happy Holiday
I would recommend you get these in place, but I am no business consultant nor a tax professional.
What company would you be referring to?
Thank you, for your answer. I will look into it on Monday and get that all in place. Thank you I hope you enjoyed your holidays.

No one answered my question? Do I need to obtain a DBA and A Tax ID
A DBA is not typically something that you have to worry about when you are starting out... Unless you are the person actually selling the products, you really don't need to do a "DBA" at all.
As far as your tax ID goes, if you are an American citizen, your Social Security Number is your tax ID number.
The reason for both of these answers is because you are being paid commissions from other companies. The money comes in your name...to you. Your readers are not doing business with you, they are actually doing business with the companies that you are marketing for.
Just make sure that you report ALL your earnings because I assure you that the companies that you market for WILL report who they paid any money to.
I hope that helps.
If you're not in the U.S. include where you live in your question to get an answer more specific to where you live.
Great reply @Caf4157
Also the unless you are selling physical items, you will not need to worry about sales tax either.
Sorry if that seems like a no brainer!
