Don't Work Against Yourself

I thought of an interesting analogy the other day that I wanted to share. I was outside using the leaf blower, and it was a pretty windy day. I had to go in one direction, towards the edge of my lawn, and it just so happened that the wind decided to blow in the opposite direction.

So, basically I was blowing the leaves one way, and the wind was sending at least half of them back at me. It was really frustrating, and after about 10 minutes I gave up. But then I went back out today, with no wind, and I got the job done in about 10 minutes.

Why should you care about my landscaping issues? Because this serves, in my opinion, as a good analogy for what we're doing here at WA. Some things are challenging, and we want to give up. But instead of giving up, why not leave whatever is giving you trouble for a day, and come back the next day with fresh eyes?

This is something that I've been doing on here unconsciously since I started, and only until the leaf blowing incident did I recognize it. Just thought I'd put this out there for anyone struggling. Of course, if that day off doesn't help, you should ask a question and get help from the community.

I agree with the analogy that you have given and it has worked for at other times, but for some reason I am having a difficult time writing this one last product review. This analogy is not working for me in this case. Appreciate any suggestions!

Great encouragement and good illuminating analogue. Well done.

What a great analogy, Buck! Sometimes if you just walk away and sleep on the issue, it seems to solve itself. Who knew you could learn something from a leaf blower. LOL.

I know, I guess there are lessons in everything, even mundane chores!

LOL that is funny and it is so true! Something you never think about really. We get so determined to get something done but there are some days it just doesn't want to work with us. Thank you for the insight.

You're welcome!

Love the analogy, bro!

Thanks man!

Good advice mate!
