Hey everyone!

I'm trying to keep this post a short(er) one today since...

...it's my birthday!

Yes, I'm finally 18. Now I can create a PayPal account and REALLY start earning! Plus, Google Ads is now open to me. What are some other marketing perks of being 18??

I thought I would quickly share a little about my journey so far at WA, that has taken me to where I am now.

I joined WA in January of 2018 and was pretty certain I'd figured out how to make my easy fortune online. As you all know, it wasn't quite as simple as that and I ended up taking a break for a couple of months.

Well, fast-forward to around May time and I was easing myself back into Wealthy Affiliate, sure that THIS time I'd soon be earning.

Once again, I underestimated the difficulty (but also the potential) of what is taught here.

But nevertheless, I continued on working a little here and there, but I was super lazy about it. It got to the point where I was writing 500 word articles on keywords I had just plucked out of my head.

Pretty soon I realized that I was wasting my time with this approach, so I dived back into the training to figure out the 'right' way of doing things.

As it happens, this was around about the same time that I finished the college year and broke up for the Summer.

I decided that I was going to use this huge patch of free time to really create something special (or at the very least, learn a thing or two along the way).

I realized how lucky I was to have this awesome few months of freedom. I know most of us here at WA have part-time or even full time jobs that take up the majority of our time. I didn't want to look back and regret that I hadn't put my time to use while I had so much of it!

So fast-forward through a grueling, exciting, headache-inducing, frustrating, yet satisfying Summer of work and where I am now?

I'm feeling pretty good at my current position although I'm not 100% where I aimed to be (mainly because my goals going into this were a reflection of my lack of understanding).

I am around the 50 post mark on my first, niche site (currently sat at 49!) and 20 posts on my bootcamp site. I am just a few hundred words shy of a total 100,000 words written which is also a cool stat to hit!

My traffic is steadily increasing (although it's always hard to tell) and I think my stats are going in the right direction, but I never like to assume anything!

I'm also in the top 200 at WA, which wasn't actally one of my goals; I'm not even too bothered about WA rank, but it's still a nice little 'bonus'.

The main benefit from this experience hasn't actually been to do with traffic, money, or anything like that. The main benefit is simply how much I have learnt!

It really isn't about the money I'm making right now for me but the opportunities this is opening up for me, possible futures I'd never even considered.

What are my revised goals?

- Hit 100 posts on my niche site by the end of March 2019, and transform those posts into an income source of at least $100 a month. Am I aiming low, or being realistic? Please do let me know.

- Become an authority in the niche.

- Hit 100 posts on my bootcamp site before the end of March 2019, and turn this into a generator of at least $100 monthly. Again, am I shooting too low?

- Make Vegas 2020! Vegas 2019 is still a possibility but at the present it isn't a realistic goal. Or is it? Again, let me know what you think!

I'm so glad I found WA so early on in my life journey, and here's to plenty more posts like these in the future!
