Day 11"Navigating the Rolling River of Life"

Hello! My friends!

Today, I'd like to, just share my day!

Some, of you know, today my first mission, was to appear in court, as an advocate, for a friend, for either, a DWI or Domestic Violence, we only knew to case number. My plan was to speak, for my friend, as I am Fort Bend County, speaker, and could be an objective party. This was my plan! Ha!

Arriving at the court, we were told, no are to family or friends allowed, only lawyers, and clients, as court is small, and Tuesdays, and Fridays are their busiest days! They gave him a sheet, that said, check this box, for reset. Friend, said, "It's, just, going to reset!", and checked that box.

"Whoa, give me that first!"...I added, "depending on, as to why I'm here, today, and added an arrow, down to "We have a lawyer, unable to attend, __________________....tentative lawyer, __NAME__. Friend was, first 2 rows for resets. When he went in, to speak to the gentlemen, that would rest the date, he mentioned to him, " I don't know the charge.". the man, went and checked...Domestic violence. My friend, informed, him that was a year old incident, which was really, just swatting her hand, away, as she kept poking his face. Her dad came and got her, as she was in a blackout, drunken, state. Which, had, sadly, become the norm. (She passed, away, from an ulcerated, stomached, this, past September, 3 days, before her 34 birthday). The next day, again drunk, she went a filed these charges, with only a police questioning, no arrest.

DWI came, when a drunken, friend , called, him, knowing he wasn't at the bar, thus, not drunk, when her other ride, got a DWI, and hauled, off to jail! Enter, rescuer, who had had a beer, when he got off work, at home, and they took him in, as well!

So, my being the advocate in the courtroom, was not THE plan, for my day...!

While, waiting, I striked up a conversation, with a mother, there, for her,18 year daughter, full of attitude. The daughter, came out of the courtroom, complaining it was cold.

I looked at her and said, girlfriend pull up, that shirt, and cover, your bear arms! The only person, YOU, need to impressed, is that man, sitting on the bench! Your, first impression, matters, as this is just the start! She reluctantly, did this, while mom, smile in appreciation!

When the daughter, returned, again, mom went to the bathroom, and left me, her daughter. I begin, to talk to her about choices, made now, will have a lasting, effect, good or bad. Then, I asked, her what she wanted to be, when she grows up? Looked, at me strangely, and said, "Well, I'm going to cosmetology school."

"Oh, so you really want to help women look beautiful! Wonderful! You are a beautiful, young lady...on the outside, but to be really successful, you need to develop the lasting inner beauty, that shine through your smile! This, is how you will, make people, want to comeback...repeat business, just because, they like your spirit! The money will follow". Needing, to take a break, I waited for mom, to return from the restroom...which she had been in, a little more time, than, usual, knowing, we were talking! I hugged, the mom, and said, how much I enjoyed meeting with her, and hang in there!...and proceeded outdoors, it's it was a beautiful day, and I needed to use, my phone.

When, my friend, came out, he was told the assault, charge would, likely, be dropped. The DWI, was scheduled, for December, first, and the man had the reset, as one, and, now, January 17th, is the new date for both. First step, in the process is over.

Stopped, by Sam's, got shock and tabs, for the pool, and home, I went!

Next, order, of business, back to Joe, for the locked, computer. Fixed in 2 seconds, I'd registered, my laptop, with Microsoft, and through my email, Password, same!

Spoke, a bit, with my BFF, as we are always, mutually supportive, and she suggested, "Just chill, for awhile, and regroup! Girl, you're on fire!" Inspiration drains, me sometimes. I took her advice, and watched "Mom", a real crack-up, about women in recovery, and a 12 Step program! Right out of the gate, Chrissy's, big project, was halted...Her computer froze!! I laughed, hysterically! The God, of my understanding, has a great sense, of humor!!

Afterwards, I, just, visited with friends in WA, and had a restful, afternoon! Took a power nap, for an hour, as my thumbs were, actually, starting to ache, while responding from, my phone. Wasn't opening the computer, 'til this evening!

Tonight, I had plans, to attend an Astrology group, on the other side of Houston, which I had, not done, since, 1977! I was starved, for people, who spoke my language!! The group was attended, by many young folks, but thankfully, some older, as well! I was able to learn, as well as, share. What I realized, truth be known, my higher, longer, studies, were deeper, than most of the leaders, but I did not have to be the center! Right, in line, with the discussion, I was able to share, about the effect of my WA writing challenge!!! Very cool, God! Thank, you very much!!

During, this meeting, this little, gal, expressed, in frustration, with tears, that she didn't know what her horoscope, was that, but after, getting over, a 6 year, loosing relationship, she was stuck in, for fear, of being alone...I slipped her a my legal pad, said, I would run her chart, now, and after the meeting, we'd talk. We chatted for around a half hour, and I could show her where she in this "River of life". She'd run into a few rocks, but she was well on her way, to smoother journey, for now, and starting a brand new path of self-discovery! I was given a soul, to help! "When, the student is ready, the teacher will appear"! Before, we parted, I asked where she lived...Right down, 5 minutes, away, in my end of town!! Thank you, God for bringing this little soul, into my life!

Raced home, to do my blog! Trying to post before 12 midnight! It's after 12, now!

My message, is simply this! I, always, have my Plan A! What I want to do, but God, doesn't always, have the same plan. God is in charge! Plan B? What God shows, me. He wants ME, to do!

He directs, my "course, on this river"! He is navigating, I'm just following His lead! If, He wants me to do something, in my life, He smoothes, the way! His spirit moves my soul, I love having, full, faith, in Him!!

"God, doesn't make house calls, He sends people!" I thank, Him, every night for the people, here, at WA, He has, brought me. I can be the encourager or the receiver! I am, here, because this is where, He wants, me to be, just "rolling along on my beautiful journey of life, where each day has all the potential, and always, new experience! The only, problem, I have, is when, I don't listen, rarely, but...Who's perfect!! Not, me, for sure!
