The Best Free WordPress Theme For Your Affiliate Website is Weaver II. I was watching a Webinar and the presenter showed some really great looking sites that he used to make money as an Amazon Associate. The sites looked simple, but well laid out and designed. I was happy when he revealed the name of the theme: Weaver II.

Weaver II is a pro quality, free WordPress theme that is extremely powerful. First of all, it comes with 28 different sub-themes. This essentially turns your one free WordPress theme into 28 themes!
The 28 sub-themes can be changed at anytime just by selecting the required theme and then clicking 'Set to Selected Sub-theme.' By the way, there is a Pro version, but honestly, what you get for free, you do not have to get Weaver II Pro.
Main Options
Now this is where the fun starts. The Main Options panel will take you to your customization panels. here you can further adjust your theme to look exactly how you want it to look. There is so much to do, you may be tempted to spend hours playing around with different looks until you find the right one.
Why Weaver II for an Affiliate Website?
Weaver II is great for any type of website, but I specially recommend it for use by affiliates. In addition to the design being easily changeable, Weaver II has 16 widget sections to add everything including ads. Through these widgets, you can place information in strategic areas without touching any code. Some of these areas are unreached using most free WordPress themes.
Mobile Friendly
Mobile browsing is rapidly increasing with the growth of smartphones and tablets. Weaver II has strong mobile features. Most of the mobile capability is built into the pro version, but the free Weaver II has a 'Mobile Device Widget Area.' This is described as follows:
This widget area provides an alternate area for Mobile Devices. It is displayed between the content and the footer, and uses the same styling as the Primary (top) Sidebar.
Here in the Mobile Device Widget Area, you can place your mobile ads, which will not show up on the desktop version of the theme.

Thanks for this further info on your theme Brian. This is the one you told me about a few days ago. I think it looks amazing. I'll have to see if it can work on my site. I like my theme, but the sidebar wording is in green and I don't think I can change it. Your blog has reminded me again to check it out :)
You're welcome Annie. The sidebar color of your blog can be changed, but you will have to get into the code. That's too much for most people so its best to use a flexible theme such as Weaver II.

This is definitely one of the best free themes. It can be a bit limiting however. But if you want more, you need to take a foray into the paid theme world.
I have 6 sites with Weaver II and some of them are exceptional. Others need a bit more power than this one has. But if you are after a free theme, I haven't found many that compare.

You're welcome @breadtalk. Sure there is a short way to do it. In your wordPress Dashboard, go to APPEARANCE --> THEMES --> INSTALL THEMES. In the search box, type in the name of the theme. In this case 'weaver II'. That's it.

Wow! I had the piano keyboard set up for one of my sites, didn't realize it was a Weaver II option :) I was just coming on to get an idea of what would be a good theme idea for my WA site. I've had some good ideas for it, but a matching quality theme. Thanks!
