How to Write a Persuasive Article for Better Conversions

Writing a persuasive article is a great way to start if you want to improve your conversion rate. But what exactly makes an essay clear? And how can you go about writing one?

Here are some tips to get you started:

Know your audience

Before you start writing, you must know your target audience. What are their needs and wants? What are their pain points? Once you know these things, you can start crafting your message.

Could you make a compelling argument?

Your article must have a strong argument if you want it to be persuasive. It should be clear, concise, and backed up by evidence. If you can make a case that resonates with your audience, they're more likely to be convinced by what you say.

Use persuasive language

The language you use in your article can also influence how persuasive it is. Words like "you" and "your" make the reader feel as though they're being addressed directly, while words like "because" help to explain why they should believe what you're saying.

Choosing words can make all the difference in whether your argument convinces your readers.

Using Strong Power Words to Structure Your Article

Creating a well-structured piece of writing is as crucial to persuasion as the content itself.

It would be best to emphasize your argumentation early on; supplying it with evidence, addressing potential objections, and keeping it concise should ensure that your readers are engaged and more likely to agree.

Try beginning with something eye-catching, like a surprising statistic or an exciting story, to draw in the audience and maintain their interest until the end.

Understanding how to craft a compelling argument and use it to improve your ability to engage with readers' language will result in higher conversion rates for your website or business. With the tips I’ve shared, you should feel confident about writing compelling articles to help you convert more visitors into leads and customers.

Hi Brenda.

I found your blog a very helpful and informative read - thank you for sharing. Selling to 'emotion' is certainly a strong weapon in your armoury. I use a sales technic called disturbance to do this. You ask questions like 'what would happen if' / 'what effect would that have' / 'how would that make you feel'. It works well for some products (life insurance for example) if used correctly. You can use this technic in your blog writing by telling them what will happen and the effect it will have if they don't buy your product or service.

Disturb 'em if you can.

Paul

Hi Paul, yes, you are correct about using emotional words. You mentioned using them in life insurance products. I did sell life insurance years ago, and we did storytelling. Most of my clients were retirees, and we focused on LTC Insurance. Many people do not know that Medicare does not pay for long-term care nursing homes in the USA, only 100 days up to 120 days, but that's it. They would have to have assets like their home and sell then wait for 36 months before they could qualify for Medicaid. If their income is too high, it won't possibly cover that. We use emotional tactics, as you said, what would happen if your spouse had ..." we will protect the finances and look at the cost of nursing home and assisted living. So yes, this is a similar tactic I can use in my blog post to persuade a person, like a product review, not to buy or buy it. Thanks for reminding me about that.

Hi Brenda. Yes, it's a good technic to use when selling that sort of product. As you say tell a story to hammer home the idea of the service and what might happen if they don't buy it.

Paul

Thanks for sharing BrendaMZ . Seven nuggets on How to Write Persuasive Content and make our Audience stick with us and buy our product has a lot of informations that will enhance my content writing ✍️ and Blogging Thank you 🙏. LadyD2

Hi, Lady; sure, you are welcome.

These are some excellent pointers and tips, Brenda! Thanks for all the good information included in your posts!

Jeff

Hi Jeff, thank you so much. I had a crappy day. You know it's Sunday, and people (my caregiver and dietary aid staffing the kitchen) call off; it always happens on weekends. That caused us to be short staff, and then the kitchen people screwed up my food order.

Oh wow, Brenda! I am sorry to hear about that, my friend! Hopefully the new week will start better!

Jeff

Yes, I hope so too.

Take care, Brenda!

Jeff🙏

Thank you for this outstanding wisdom, I sincerely appreciate it, you are correct in every word. I say this because I consider myself to be a professional writer, all the points that you have brought to light is a fact. Have a wonderful and blessed New week enjoy your Sunday my sister.

Hi Earl, thanks for reading and stopping by to comment. It's an honor to see a comment from a professional writer. You, too, have a blessed week.

I justed posted content using Open AI. This is amazing!

What? Did you copy and paste the entire content? If you did that, that's a big NO-NO!

Please use your own words. You can generate ideas from content from OpenAI but not copy and paste; you won't rank for that.

ChatGPT and Open AI lead people to misuse and copy and paste it. Google won't rank your site.

I found the answers from Quora, other bloggers, and other high-domain authorities websites, then modified them in my own words; it took me a few days to do this.

I never said to—Open-AI in this use GPT-4 or any. I used my own words.

Most people here know that I detest and loath ChatGPT and OpenAI.

As academic educators, we ban students from generating ideas from OpenAI. Google clearly said any copy and paste is considered thin content.

My students have been trying to get away with it with me. I gave them a failing grade so fast before they could even blink their eye. They had to do a rewrite.

I understand it can be helpful for some.

Did you see Phil1944's blog post for the entire ChatGPT content?

He tells people to refrain from copying and pasting-use their own words.

I sure hope you wrote in your own words.

You can generate ideas from other sources off of the Internet.

Reading other blog posts is better, and finding other sources is more reliable. I warn you that OpenAI spewed output that is inaccurate and content with redundant information, often false information.

It's better to find other sources I listed in my post because they are factual and authentic. I don't encourage writing misinformation from ChatGPT or OpenAI.

My content is in my own words. I am using AI as food for thought. I use travel magazines, AAA etc for contents ideas!

I appreciate what your saying. But I'm not looking up statistical data. My blog is about traveling which does not contain information that states one place is exclusively traveled than another. I'm writing based on my traveling experiences too!

I am glad to hear that you are doing that. However, there are much better ways by Google Search Analysis (same as Google AutoSuggest) to find the exact keywords you did in Jaaxy. Then you see other bloggers in the top five and read their content; you will search for what is missing and find a way to write better content than other travel bloggers. Your experience is the most important one. With Open AI and ChatGpt, you can't find out that information. I just got out of a class for P plus that talks about how to do Google search analysis to craft better content. It works so much better that way. I know it's time-consuming, but it's worth it.

Key words aren't the problem. It's developing the content. I am following Kyle's training. Ty!

Yes, I understand about content. That's why we look at other bloggers and see how they write content. It's good that you are following Kyle's training; keep up with that. You should be fine as your site grows. Sorry I jumped at you. Just concerned about the whole AI thing anyway. I wish you all the best!
