I have a website petcattoys.com but I don't seem to be getting any traffic to it. Not sure what I'm not doing or not doing right so any advice would be greatly appreciated.</

Hey Kevin,

How honest do you want me to be? LOL!!

I'll try to be "gentle" with you.

However, I have gone through your website, and then even gone through your profile, and WA blog posts and questions over the last 5.5 years, there is a common theme I'm afraid!

Anyway, let's stick with THIS website for now.

You initially wrote your About Me page on July 18th 2023, so that's 9 months ago.

As an absolute bare minimum, I would expect to have written somewhere between 130-180 articles after 9 months.

You have NINE (including the About Me)

Your "niche" if you're looking at the "broad niche" of just "CATS" and not something more specific within the "cat industry" means that you will be competing with some pretty massive websites.

You can guarantee they'll have many writers and thousands of articles on their websites.

This is why it's always a good idea to really "niche down", get very specific about WHAT your niche is and WHO it is you're specifically looking to help.

You don't really want your niche to be as broad as just "cats", otherwise you'll be competing with these "big websites" constantly.

Next, I can clearly see that you are using the AI writer.

Are you actually editing your articles?

Do you actually know what the articles say?

Your last 4-5 articles all have more-or-less the exact same first sentence.

Sure, the words are moved around occasionally, and different words with the same meaning are used, but it's all very similar.

This would NOT be viewed as "helpful" content.

This will be very noticeable to both potential visitors and search engines.

So, the content may be deemed "not good enough" to rank (however, you are yet to "gain momentum" on your site to actually gain a chance of ranking simply because there is very little content on your site, i.e 9 articles).

Next, the choice of keywords is too competitive for a brand-new website in such a large and competitive niche.

However, this doesn't really matter, as there is nowhere near enough content on the website to see a "breakthrough" in the search engines, and the content needs improving.

You cannot simply ask an AI writer to "write me an article", regardless of WHICH AI writer you use, and then simply copy and paste the result onto your website.

The search engines (and humans) appreciate unique and original content and LOTS of it.

When you have repetitive words and phrases in every single article, most readers and search engines would view this as "lazy", i.e. is this person actually trying to help cat owners or are they just looking to create a website to make money online?"

I say the above without even knowing if you are promoting your content, or if your brand is active on social media.

Simply put, I would say you need to start from the beginning of HUBS again, you need to be actively LEARNING something every day (this includes not only learning via Wealthy Affiliate, but LEARNING ABOUT YOUR NICHE too), you need to be far more productive to even get a squeak of traffic, and you need to learn how to effectively use the AI writer for great content.

Sorry, if any of this comes across as harsh, but I'd rather be honest and upfront with someone.

uh-oh Partha is replying -so i will make mine short....
your niche is a graphic one - a passionate one....
so you need to talk to this passion....
for the products - you need to show them why they need them....
and if you can get endorsed by a vet to show authority...
be a lot more graphical - did i already mention this...
you could even think about creating a community where visitors all talk about what the y have bought which worked and didn't - but this is a lot of work and needs visitors.....
with hte amount of posts on your site and the thin content i would be suprised if google doesn't not index a few of your posts....
i wish you well with the niche and hope it grows...feel the passion for your feline friends...

Well, your website is indexed, and now is an excellent time to start adding content if you have not already.

However, your posts get indexed, and often days later, down the line, they start getting noticed, provided the targeted keywords are searchable and new websites can rank efficiently.

However, a website's "authority" typically starts to establish over time, usually at the 3-6 month mark.

They fluctuate up and down the scale till Google decides where to place them.

Not all posts will get ranked; thus, the recommendation is to keep updating blogs with 2 - 3 posts weekly for the foreseeable future.

And just for some clarification.

I hope this helps.

Thank you Abie ,you have made me calmer too as I had the same feeling after 96 posts and just about 6 months now , let see I believe it needs time .

Hi kYLE,
an you please tell me how many blog posts I should post every Day?

In the Super Affiliate Challenge we were tasked by Kyle to write 12 blogs per month. That works out to about 3 a week. I suggest you aim for that.

Hope this helps.

Edwin

As many as you can whilst keeping quality at the highest level possible.

being consistent is important. If you can only afford the time to make one blog post a week then post one every week. If you can write one a day even better. Try to decide what you can do realistically and stick to it
