To my fellow South African WA members and to all WA members throughout the World, I would like to express my deepest apologies for the actions displayed by a bunch of irresponsible kids representing Australia in cricket.

They have tarnished not only their own names but also our Coat of Arms.

It is disgusting what has happened and we are all embarassed here back in Australia.

Your Sincerely,

Brad Burns

Hi Brad, this might be difficult for us both, but I was disappointed about another matter relating to your leadership and SA white farmers. one needs to stop and think of history before speaking.I hope this won't offend you.

This is all I know about how our Government reacted " Last month, Australia's Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton stirred anger in Pretoria when he said white farmers were being targeted in South Africa and indicated the Federal Government might offer refugee visas to those facing the threat of violence and persecution".

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull says Australia is an option for South Africans who fear persecution.

Brad you would not believe this, An Australian couple just visited the gallery, I was hesitant to raise the topic, and there was a consensus of opinion and I will lay it to rest, The quote came from the gentlemen-Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Let it rest.
Do you think the West Indies will ever regain their place at the top, thier performances are so dismal, i have lost interest.

The West Indies were a fantastic team and just went out to score runs. They were so exciting to watch and it is my belief that Garfield Sobers was the best cricketer ever. He also played out here in OZ in South Australia.

The reason why the Windies are not up there is money. Kids with the talent to be great cricketers are going into other sports like basketball to earn money. There is no money in playing for the West Indies national team BUT NOW, for up and coming Windies players, there is big money playing cricket in the world T20 and Australia's big bash league. So you have talent in the Windies but they won't play for their country because it is more beneficial for them to play 20/20.
It is sad but the West Indies cricket board, along with the support from the government should have seen that coming years ago and dangled the carrot in front of potential Windies stars to play for their country.
Chris Gayle stopped playing test cricket because he was out here in Australia earning big dollars in Australia's big bash league.

My most memorable Windies side was Clive Lloyd's team consisting of Andy Roberts, Malcolm Marshall, Michael Holding, Big Bird Joel Garner, Desmond Haynes, Gordon Greenwich, Viv Richards etc. They were a fantastic team and so were our team and the cricket was so exciting when the Windies played Australia. That is all gone now.

Cricket needs a top Windies team who have always adopted the policy - If you cannot hit a six on the very first ball then try to hit a four.

I totally understand your feelings about this incident Brad. I don’t know if they realize it but their actions will be remembered for some time to come.
Jerome

It will never be forgotten

Other countries have had their share of scandals in the sports arena Brad (can you say USA?).. ;-)

No need for you to apologize for the acts of others...unfortunately, it happens.

You're a good man!

Thanks, Cindy,

Thanks for sharing, Brad.

Thanks Rog

Brad I understand your feeling on this but do remember that it is not the end of Cricket, children sometimes do crazy things.

Cheer up and prepare yourself for the come back

Brad children are so ratchet these days. We just don't know what to expect from them today.

Don't take it hard, it will blow over!

Thank you, Louisa,

In Australia, the second most important position to hold is the captaincy of the Australian test cricket team so this is going to stick for many years like the underarm incidence against New Zealand in 1981. Still around today some 37 years later and funny enough was legal at the time.

The Prime Minister of our country holds the no.1 title position and I suppose, when you look at it, both jobs have one characteristic in common - corruption!!!

It’s not your fault and anyway they are probably not the only ones, just the ones that got caught.
With Grace and Gratitude
Karen

Thanks, Karen,

All Proud Australians are also gutted by the incidence. It will never die in our sporting history.

And I thank you for your lovely Grace and Gratitude.

Brad
