Does what time you publish a new post affect things like it getting ranked/indexed in google?

I also had a similar concern, because I personally don’t like to read articles from more than 10 years ago or just depending on the information I need. But I think there are also ways to remove the date you wrote an article if that’s what you prefer when posting things. I’m trying to look into that myself

Posts of more than a year should be updated. However, I cannot speak for everybody, obviously :)

You may want to check the below resources.

https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/display-the-last-updated-date-of-your-posts-in-wordpress/

i think it is more important to be consistent as Andre says

Google works in Google time.

However, it can also depend on how regularly you post your content as well.

For example, if you do 3 posts a week and on a regular basis, they will notice this and visit your site on a regular basis however if you post once a month they will take longer to visit your website.

Which means your post will take longer to be indexed and ranked.

Even then there is no guarantee as it also depends on the quality of your content as per the helpful content guidelines they have.

They want to see you are serious hence regular posting of content compared to someone on a when I feel like it can make a difference especially when one is first starting out.

As for the time of day not necessarily as I said they work in Google time not when you want.

You can always request indexing using GSC but again no guarantees when they will visit your site let alone indexing and ranking.

Thank you for your detailed response. Very help and much appreciated

Most welcome

Nope, but maybe for social media posts.

What matters is compelling content and the choice of keywords your visitors are looking for.

Perfect thank you

Np :)

I have been leaving site comments on other peoples posts for about a month now with no problem. I created a gravatar email right at the start. It is now telling me I need to us

Hi Bailey,

We're working on a solution to the issue - we've been aware of this since last last week and we're working to debug why this error is showing to folks who DO have gravatar images associated with their email addresses. We will get to the bottom of this and patch the issue very soon.

Thanks for everyone's patience with this.

Carson

Many are effected, been reported already

Thank you!

Awesomely welcome :)

Here's a message from Kyle :)

You may need to empty the browser cache, refresh, and try again. Try the URL in a different browser or mobile device.

I would also input my email manually if you are not doing that already; sometimes, when we copy and paste, it adds a character to the beginning or end. I hope you get it figured out sooner. :)
