The 1 Question I Get Asked The Most
This is the question I get asked the most.
How did you build a business on the Internet to make a more than full-time income.
I go to conferences, get email, get private messages that ask the same thing.
What 1 thing did you do?
What was the most important thing you did?
What made it happen?
What is your secret
Same question just asked different ways.
So here is my number 1 secret.
Goals
Not just long-term goals but daily and weekly goals.
Writing down what I am going today and writing down what I am going to do this week.
Those two things have taken my business from a few dollars a month to 4 to 5 figures a month.
Each day as I go through the day I make notes of what I will do tomorrow. We think of those things all day long. We think, "I will do this tomorrow during the day" or "I will do that tomorrow."
If I do not write it down somewhere, either on paper or in a file on the computer tomorrow it is hard to remember everything I thought of.
It is a habit you develop.
The second thing is to write down what I want to accomplish during the upcoming week. On Monday morning I take time to write down what I want to accomplish before the next Monday.
When I do this I get so much more accomplished.
Over time I have learned to stick to what I put down and not let other things get in the way.
So there it is my secret to doing what I need to do.

I love writing to do lists. In fact I have one going here at my desk at work. I have a list of the water authorizations I need to work on for the different oil companies and other details to do.
Now I need to do it for my website. In the move I ended up with no good notebooks or notepads in our new place. It is driving me crazy!! I need to find them and dig them out.
