Facebook Post Status Change - Gets 36 Percent Increase in Views
I have quite a few sites out there and have A LOT of facebook Pages. Part of my business is based on exposure for a few local artists.
Posting Pictures and Videos on facebook is a good way to get exposure for brands and products once you have built a good facebook fans base. Most of us want that traffic to visit our website. It may selling something or simply exposing them to paid advertisements.
I recently was given a video of one of my artists and decided that I would post it so that it could only be played on 1 website .. it could not show up on facebook nor could you go direct to the video site to see it.. You had to visit the page to watch it.
I added a featured image to the post so that when it was linked on facebook, the featured image would show up.

My Mistake
When I added the link last week.. I made the mistake of not adding a good post status., I just added the link and let people click on the image, thinking they could want to see more....I was able to drive some traffic and get some view of the video. I reached over 10,000 people with the post, the tarffic and video views were lower than I expected.
One Week later.. I reposted the website page link.. (with the same featured image picture), but this time with a catchier posts status.. "Click Image to watch <artist> sing <song>"
The second result still reached over 10000 people, but this time I saw a 36% increase in Video Views over last week.
Plan your Call To Action
Don't forget to tell people to do something.

It is basic information but always a good reminder. If you want them to do something, tell them to do it!
Good Luck,

Basic advice maybe but so important. I was certainly guilty of not asking my readers to do what I wanted in the past. Glyn.
