Canadians Are A Very Giving People - PPE Sales
Times have been strange lately with all of the natural disasters picking up in strength and in numbers. Though many of these worldly events have been foretold in some ways, when you experience them personally it's like a science fiction movie.
Have you ever said to yourself, this world is getting stranger by the years, as news of world events with disasters on the rise that spread like wildfire. It is that last word that has affected many of us here on the East Coast of the United States lately.
CANADIANS LOVE SHARING
On Tuesday night smoke from the Canadian wildfires arrives in the New York, New Jersey, Connecticut Tri-State area. Scenes at the NY Yankees game against the Chicago White Sox looked quite surreal and the burning smell was a bit irritating.
Then on Wednesday June 7, 2023, while transporting a patient at 1:15 in the afternoon, I had to turn my headlights on. Everything turned a smoky light orange then dark orange then dark yellow. You couldn't even see NYC from across the river.
COMES IN, HITS HARD AND LEAVES
By Thursday the air quality was good enough for the Yankees to play a double header to make up the game that was canceled on Wednesday. Yesterday it was a sunny blue sky Friday. Smoke gone, though urban areas were naturally a bit smoky.
I would like to thank my Canadian members to the north of the 48 for sharing your smoke. Though I have to work out in it when most are told to stay home, sales in my new PPE niche has increased. Soon it will be like Blade Runner below. STAY SAFE!

I don't always like that something bad is fueling my sales, but I don't want to leave any money on the table either. :-)
We get smoked out on the west coast of Canada, usually once per year. Often times the smoke is coming from Washington St, Oregon or even Northern California. Sometimes north of us as well.
Good thing as neighbouring countries we are always in a "sharing mood" lol.
Glad it has cleared, I was just out in Montreal and was able to sneak out the day before the smoke got really bad leading to all sorts of flight delays.
Wow! You get smoke that far north from Northern California? I wouldn't think the smoke would go that far north.
Lately the weather patterns have been weird, like when you share your Polar Vortex with us in the winter down here.
You were lucky to fly out when you did. Everything got shut down here on Wednesday, visibility was less than an eighth of a mile.
Blessings come in all colors, shapes, and ways!
Glad it has benefited your business.

A couple of years ago, we had the same thing happen on the western side of US. There are no mountains beteeen the teo countries, and the smoke travels freely across the border.
The smoke was so thick you could look at the sun.
Made for some great pictures with the hazy sunset colors.

That's the weird thing about all this. I live hundreds of miles away from the fires and on the opposite side of the Appalachian Mountain range. You would think with all of that, the smoke we had seen here wouldn't have been so bad.

Hi Boomer
Business is booming for yuz.
Been there done that here in Northern California a few times. Thanks to PGE poor maintenance . They even had the piedras to raise the rates to pay for the justified settlements which are never enough to replace life.
Thus many folks going solar for power. PGE is now burying cable. Great, pollute the ground with EMFs. Sheesh.
But as in most things come a positive from a negative.
Smoke got so bad we had to wear respirators to work in the garden.
To all the global warming naysayers.... naaaahhh. Best keep quiet on that topic... For the time being.
Mother Earth is quite unhappy with the global mistreatment. We best make amends ASAP. She has a history of her own repair. We are not the first civilization here.
Being a Dodger fan since Koufax days, it's nice to hear from a true Yankees fan occasionally. Take care Boomer, hope Judge returns soon. Have to see if and when the Yankees come to San Francisco next.
Solar power is HUGE here in New Jersey. Many homes, schools and businesses use solar and there are both solar and wind farms generating power for the utility companies, driving costs down.
The Yankees are my favorite team but the Dodgers are also another favorite. This stems back to when the Dodgers were in Brooklyn. My father used to tell me stories about watching Jackie Robinson play.
I grew fond of Baseball before Little league by 🎧 to my great grandma talk about Ty Cobb and her beloved Chisox. Yankees are my favorite and then the Mets. The Amazing Mets and Ron Swoboda were a favorite back then.
After the Dodgers left Brooklyn, my dad eventually became a Mets fan. The first ever professional baseball game my dad took me to was in Shea Stadium 1978 watching the Mets play the Yankees in a Subway Series.
Great memories. We were on our way to Dodgers-Reds game with Pete Rose, Joe Morgan, and Johnny Bench. We planned to sit in my favorite outfield seats with my glove, and while listening to the pregame show heard it was sold out!
Dad didn't expect it, being a weekly night game. I cried all the way home. Never went to a sporting event again without tickets.
