A little update and a thought or 2!

So, it has been about a week since my last WA blog post. I have been having a little brain pain due to all the knowledge I have been absorbing. In addition to all the general thoughts and ideas I have rolling around in my head I figured I would stop here to publish a little update and my 2 cents on a subject.

Update.....

1.) Since I have been strictly focusing on writing content instead of trying to figure out how to build an "Ace" website I no longer feel overwhelmed like I was in my last blog post.

2.) Since signing up in November 2018 I have moved up to rank 2325 on WA. Some people say that number isn't really important, but I look at it as a persistency and consistency indicator. For me, that makes that number very important.

3.) I have 4 very informative posts on my website. Lowest word count is around 1600 and the highest word count is around 3200.

4.) I made my first WA referral for 2019 a few days ago. I still have no idea how because Google Analytics indicates I have had zero traffic. I am assuming it came through my post on Facebook.

5.) Google Analytics has me ranking for 47 keywords that I am not targeting and for none of the keywords I am targeting. I was aware that this could/would happen. No biggie. I am actually excited about getting ranked for all those keywords.

One of the keywords I am not intentionally targeting, believe it or not, is Wealthy Affiliate. When searched, wealthy affiliate brings back 12,900,000 results. My average ranking for this keyword, according to GA, is 177!

A 1 month old blog with 4 posts and 1 page is ranking 177 for wealthy affiliate. This to me is very motivating. My first thought was that 177 meant 177,000 but I went through the results and found my page. So, SWEET!

My Thoughts

1. Due to my current results with ranking for keywords I am not targeting I will no longer be putting much thought into them when writing my articles. Don't get me wrong, I will be using a keyword in my title, first paragraph, and last paragraph but outside of that I'm just gonna type my fingers off!

2. Someone read one of my posts and sent me a PM saying "You just started, what makes you qualified to teach?" It kinda pi**ed me off initially, but then I just figured it was jealousy and envy because that individual can't produce the same quality content, lol.

My answer to that is "If I can learn it, I can teach it!" Regardless of how long I have had the knowledge.

If I had never known how to swing a baseball bat and someone taught me how to swing a baseball bat, guess what? I can now teach someone how to swing a baseball bat!!

Now I have lost my train of thought. I don't remember where I was going with this blog post.
