Changing from Yearly to Monthly Billing

Sometimes life throws you a curve ball. Recently, every one of my (very reliable) clients had medical or personal emergencies, leaving me without enough income to cover my yearly subscription to Wealthy Affiliate. I scrambled to find new work, sell some things, pawn a special treasure...but with one day left, I was still less than halfway to my goal.
I logged onto WA and typed in "how to change from yearly to monthly billing" and saw that I was far from the only person with this question. The answers all seemed to say the same thing: delete your account and sign up again with the monthly plan. Your account remains intact for 30 days after no payment, so you will still be able to get into it and buy a new plan. That method works.
But it seemed really scary to me. If I had an Emoji menu available, I would choose the one with the famous Munsch painting "The Scream."
So I poked around a bit and, lo and behold...
There is an easier way!

There are five simple steps:
1. Go to your Account Settings (to get there, click on your photo icon and get the pull-down menu; the Account Settings button is at the bottom).
2. Scroll down to your Subscription Settings.
3. Click on "Payment Source."
4. Choose a difference payment source than the one you're already using. I was using a credit card, so I chose PayPal as my new source. If I were using PayPal, I would have chosen the Visa/Mastercard option.
5. A new window will open up, giving you the option to choose between the various payment options (monthly, 6-month, or annual). Pick the one you want and choose the payment method you want to use. I was able to use the card I already had, so the only thing that changed was the timing of the subscription.
And that's all there is to it!
I love the yearly plan, as it's clearly the best value, and it also gives me a full year during which I don't have to worry about coming up with the payment. But when the unexpected throws the proverbial monkey wrench into your plans, it's great to know you can fall back on the monthly option.
And now you can do it without hitting that anxiety-inducing delete key!
