About BethTerrell

I'm a mystery writer (under the pen name Jaden Terrell), freelance writer, content/developmental editor, and writing coach.

A former special education teacher, I'm passionate about animals (my husband and I have 3 dogs, 2 African Grey parrots and 2 special needs horses), literacy & special education, and ballroom dancing, and I dabble in art, puppetry, dollmaking, and playing guitar. I'm hoping WA will subsidize my writing and support my ballroom dance habit--and, of course, allow my husband and me to live in comfort.

Thank you, David. I've been writing since I was old enough to hold a pencil, even though in those days, I was the only one who could read it, lol.

I look forward to following your successes here on WA.

Hi Beth,
Thanks for the comment on my blog! And BIG shout out to another animal therapy worker (I work with my dogs and horses to bring education and comfort to the community here!) I wish you luck and prosperity in all future endeavors! And keep dancing! I swear dancing promotes good karma and great energy vibes! (I may be biased as I am a dancer as well)

Thanks, Vicki. My hat's off to you. I'm not really an animal therapy worker, but yours sounds like a great program. I initially planned to do therapy work with my papillon Luca, but he's so small I was afraid someone would break him.

Ah, dancing. There's nothing that's not alive that makes me as happy. What kind do you do?

All kinds! I used to do stage performance, everything from ballroom to hip hop. I even did the fire dancing with poi. I loved it. I am now living in a small town that has no dancing... I might try to change that later when i have more free time!

I took ballet, tap, and jazz in my twenties and thirties, and I liked them a lot, but nothing is like ballroom.

I enjoyed your story! You have an interesting life. I hope you and your husband find freedom through WA.
People have been trying to get me to write a book for about 30 years it is in my bucket list but I have not done it yet. Maybe blogging will be enough.

Thank you, Lana. I love writing. There are so many books in my head I don't know how I'll ever find time to get them out.

What sort of book is the one on your bucket list?

Hello Beth,♫Welcome! Nice to meet you ツ I wish you a lot of learning pleasure and fun on WA. Thank you for following me.

From the start, I have written training for every issue I had problems with myself. I also made a list of 1001 niche ideas, a checklist with 25 points to go through before you publish a post, 101 blogging ideas when you get stuck and an A-Z WA dictionary. I just love lists:) It has been very helpful to a lot of people. I have listed them in one blog you can find on my profile. It's the first website link on the right (click on my picture to get there). I hope to help you with those.

If you have any questions, please add a comment to this message or leave them on my profile.
Success building your business in 2017. See you around, Greetings Loes

Thank you, Loes. I was looking through your trainings and can't wait to read these too. Your love of lists reminds me of Ray Bradbury. They helped him write many of his famous stories.

Beth, I see you are making some good progress through the Affiliate Bootcamp. Just wanted to pop by and see if you need a hand with anything?

I also wanted to mention the success rates of Bootcamp. Absolutely everyone that has taken action on all of the phases of Bootcamp has a business that is generating consistent income online. MANY of these folks are going to be at our super affiliate conference next year.

I want this to be you and I want you to succeed with your promotions. So, please promise me that if you ever need a hand or feel stuck as you move forward, that you will get in touch with me!

Trust me, I know things can be a little overwhelming sometimes and I don't want you feeling like that.

Anyways, just checking in. Get back at me if you need anything Beth.

Thank you, Kyle. I do have a question, since you asked.

I've got a niche here, children's educational materials, but I also have an author website, which has pages for my books but also has a section about money for writers. I don't think I can manage another full site (not and write books too), but I think WA would be a great fit for that section. Is it still possible to do well with a WA affiliate link if it's part of a larger site rather than one that's devoted to it?

You don't have to use the website platform here if you don't want. You can use an existing site that you already have set-up with the training here or you can start fresh.

Sometimes with an existing site there may be some things that you have done in the past that could be hurting your rankings (backlinks, spun content, duplicate content, low quality content), so starting fresh and doing things properly from the start can be advantageous. But this is totally up to you.

Either way, I am here to help you along the way Beth!

I'm doing both. I love the guy who hosts and designs my author site, so I don't want to switch that one, but the affiliate niche site is hosted here. Thanks for your help and advice.

Hi Beth,

Great to get to know you. I was a teacher in the past too. First an English teacher, then bit by bit I worked more and more in the field of special needs until I became a SENCo. Mind you that seems like a lifetime ago now, as I left teaching and began coaching back in 2014.

I am now committing to learning affiliate marketing and creating a new business fully online. I want to travel and explore the world with my daughters and my husband, and I love the possibilities that affiliate marketing is opening up to me.

Wishing you all the success you desire.

Thank you Beth for the follow and many blessings to you here at WA. If you need any help remember to post your question in the comments section or on live chat, and someone will be able to help you.

I created a short but informative training tutorial for all New Members that tell you what you can do here at WA and most importantly give you a link to the RULES of WA and what you cannot do here. If you have the time or wish to, please check out the rest of my training (Bottom Right Blue Button) on my profile page. I explain ways to help you build a better website, ways to make some extra $$$ with your WA training, and best practices here at WA. I also post a humorous blog on first Sunday of every month. Enjoy!

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

Hi, Vitaliy. You nailed it all right. I'm having a hard time nailing this down. Plus I have a question about domain names.

So...the niches. I have several ideas.

Idea 1: I'm a writer, so something that targets writers who want more income from their writing might be good fit. (I'm thinking of affiliate programs like Carol Tice's Freelance Writing Den and Jon Morrow's blogging course. Things like that. Or I could start there and then add goodies like handmade journals, high-end pens, Alpha-Smart, and Scrivener (if they have affiliate programs. If I do this one, should I put the affiliate links on my existing page, or send people FROM my author website to a WA page?

Idea 2: i'm working to build a platform for a project my agent and I want to pitch. It's about body acceptance and working toward health without obsessing about weight, and the topics covered include nutrition (could link to things like Thrive Market), exercise of various types, motivation & thoughtsmanship, and Fashion, Hair & Makeup. We talked about using a blog to build an audience, with, addressing one of those topics each day. I could do various affiliate projects on a site like that or pick one, like Plus Size Fashion. Same question as above.

3. I taught special education for 12 years. A site about education strategies for students with severe cognitive and adaptive disabilities could have affiliate links to companies that sell various educational products, especially those for special ed kids.

4, 5 & 6 - Horse, dog, or bird parrot) training or equipment. The affiliate part here is pretty obvious, but if you use training products and wellness products for the animal you choose, is that too broad?

And in every case, is it better to have your own hosted domain name, or is the WA suffix okay?

Sorry for the length of the missive, but thanks for the help.

That is certainly a lot of good ideas Beth! For the writing one, you could def pitch WA as an option and promote it in addition to other programs. I know about Mr. Morrow, he's great and you could use that with that with the bootcamp training here.

Regarding the other niches, it's really a matter of which one you connect with most, start with that one.

BethTerrell Premium
Thanks so much. I just thought of another, related to special ed--dyslexic studies. I think any of those are topics I would enjoy writing about, but I think either the writing or the plus size fashion might be the best fits for what I'm trying to do with the rest of my career. I think integrating with the big picture would be best. I'm going to sleep on it and decide tomorrow! Thanks again.
Reply
VitaliyG Premium
Integration with any big picture ideas comes way later in your site when you already have at least 1 niche topic down Beth, start from the niche you like best first, it'll be easier that way.
Reply
BethTerrell Premium
That confuses me a little. I know it takes a lot of time and work to get traffic to a site. If I'm going to be blogging regularly and doing social media about a topic, doesn't it make sense to choose one that fits with what I'm already doing?
Reply
BethTerrell Premium
Okay, I decided on one that is completely separate from anything i'm currently working on, so I can start fresh with it. It's "Children's Books and Learning." I've created the website (but will upgrade to premium and a dotcom as soon as I can afford it). I'm excited about it, since children's literature has long been a passion of mine. Thanks for the guidance.

Hey Beth, I wanted to stop by and personally welcome you to WA. Rest assured everything I mentioned about them is true :)

Whether you're here to build a business, a website or just want to learn and make money online, this is the only place that will show you the best ways to do it.

Here are my 2 quick recommendations on getting started out the best possible way:

1. Please complete your account sign setup. This is just a simple 1 minute process that will better help myself and WA know more about you and your goals. I'd like to get to know you better and help you get going.

2. After you've done this, check this page out: (I think Kyle or Carson already recommended this). This is where everyone who joins WA should begin as it will explain everything.

The course is the most important part of WA. It will guide you to success!

And that's it!

Believe me when I say this stuff works. Just follow the instructions and if you have any questions Beth, feel free to leave them by just posting a reply here. I usually respond within 24 hours and will be more than happy to help you out!

One last thing I want to mention:

Currently you're a Starter member of WA. This is completely free and you can do a lot of things such as build 2 free websites, get access to training and the online chat, among other cool perks!

If you see that WA and it's training is something you'd like to continue, I would highly recommend upgrading to the Premium membership. It's usually $47 per month, but if you sign up within the first 7 days of joining WA...

1. You can get a 59% discount ($19 for the first month).

2. I'll send you my personal guide to Reaching Your Financial Independence in 2015. This guide is based on my EXACT profit generating techniques I've used with WA. If you are serious about online business, you need to have this. :)

3. You get access to my personal support, 24-7. If you need help, you can be sure that you can fire any questions my way. I have been in the Internet marketing world since 2006 and have likely seen it all! In short, if you have ANY questions, you can come to me anytime and I will help you out (if I can't, I promise to find you the answer). You can count on that.

Certainly this is up to you Beth. For now just check out the recommended things and see how it works out :)

Talk to you soon!

Vitaliy
