You Can Sit There And Watch or Come And Get Your Hands Dirty
I remember in grade school, on the field, and its PE class. The teacher picks 3 leaders to pick out their teams for dodge ball. I keep hearing name after name but not mine. In the end, I didn't even get picked, my teacher just told me to go join the other team. Yep, It sucked.
It was these kinds of events which made me feel like I had nothing to contribute or offer. As a kid, I took this pretty hard on myself. You know that term "suffer in silence". Yes, I kept it to myself.
But when this happened over and over and over, it gave me this desire to belong. And so in high school I joined as much sports and clubs as I could. It gave me a chance to prove that I was good enough and it wasn't about whether or not someone thought I was useless.
What's the point that I'm trying to make here? 😂
Don't wait for someone to ask you to be on their team. Show up and show your value. And when you become a part of the team, really partake in everything there is to offer. Get your hands dirty!
Take it one step further and encourage those that are sitting there watching and help them to get involved.

Holy buckets, I totally can relate, Robert. There were many times that I got picked last but the day when I didn't get picked at all—heartbroken. Damaged from the inside out!
This happened to me my junior or senior year in high school.
It made me write more! So that was a good thing, but still, I had that lonely feeling inside that I wasn't good enough. I was so insignificant that I wasn't even seen.
It took me a long time to learn that I am good enough. I do have purpose.
We all have value and a place in this world. It is up to us to make sure we find out that we do and find that niche that suits us perfectly!

I used to journal in intermediate but I stopped... that itself is a story in itself...
I never looked to reflect at these stories until just the last few years. I kinda just kept it as a chip on my shoulder. And even though it helps to motivate you, that negativity ate at me inside. This all (reflection and mindset shift) probably wouldn't have happened if it wasn't me choosing to start affiliate marketing.
You are valuable and have a purpose and is good enough ❤️

I appreciate that Howard! I'm super excited! And also know that it can be taken away at any time. I'll continue to do what I did to get here, but surrounding my self by all of you that pave the path for everyone else means much more to me. Being able to shake hands with the greats is my greatest goal. It would prove to myself that through all the hard work and consistency that I am able to achieve it. I always get to a certain point and get discouraged and never finish. This time I will finish! 🔥
Ahhh I remember this like it was yesterday….in middle school they picked 2 captains. Each captain picked their team:
1st- friends
2nd- size
3rd- popularity
