Greetings, all!

I also received similar email today through GoDaddy registration & also someone called me to help set up my website! I have registered website in the past with GoDaddy & never received anything further, so was a little confused as nothing on their site about additional costs. I know you can submit your own website to the search engines, but shouldn't have to with WA.
Thanks to everyone with clearing this up. f
It's so good to be able to find this sort of info quickly and easily on WA....I received the same email after setting up my website....a few clicks later here is my answer.....thanks....Allan
Who did you purchase your domain name through? GoDaddy or someone like that? Sounds like it may be a sales tactic to get you to use their services to submit your domain name.
yeah~ I went through GoDaddy. If that is their sales tactic, I wish they would not do that!!! I kind of sucks for a newbie when you don't know that they are just trying to sell you more services….grumble, grumble!
Thanks for your reply!
I don't believe GoDaddy is bad. I have used them in the past and received very good service. I was just trying to see what might be happening. Sometimes "leaches" attach themselves to everything we do online. I've always found it a good rule of thumb that if it doesn't seem right, I can research the company wanting the information and more likely than not, others have had very similar events happen. Like David_S mentioned, you do not have to submit your site, they will find you when you submit content or update your site. It may take some time but it will happen.
Hope this helps,
- Marty

received the same email too but registered my domain here at WA and not from godaddy, it seems like it's a separate company from any domain name registrant, just for us to pay in order to get listed on search engines. I didn't saw any instructions from WA about this kind of email so I just ignored it and my site will get listed on search engine as long as I hit the right keywords, right?
