Idea i'm using

I've been experimenting with different ideas on driving traffic to WA leveraging social media. One idea that Dan my business partner) and I came up was really staring in our face until it finally dawned on us.
For the longest time Dan has been finding interesting blog articles and sharing them in his social media. Why share other people's content well he shares the link with Sniply. For those of you not familiar with Sniply its like bitly except when a person goes through the link it shows a popup on the bottom with your picture and a CTA.
To show you an example I will do it for this page:

It's a way to leverage other people's content that is relevant to your target market while driving traffic. You can also do a hidden snip that doesn't show the pop up but captures a pixel so you can re target the people that click on your links.
Now here's the idea. Take the awesome blog content (with your affiliate link of course :)) and use sniply to drive traffic to your lead magnets. This way you are compounding your efforts. Driving traffic to WA for free/premium account signups and also to your subscriber list.

An since we have a product that teaches beginners to internet marketing about online business we use sniply to drive traffic to our 21 internet marketing accelerators.
In the last couple of days we are driving traffic to WA with our affiliate link and picking up email subscribers to our list just from Dan's tweets.
Note on tweets. Don't spam out tweets on your stuff. Make it a mix of 80% content sharing and 20% promoting your stuff (free downloads or direct promotion) I'll do another blog post on this a little later. Reason I'm mentioning this having a solid tweet mix has a direct impact on people clicking on the links in your tweets.
For those of you that are reading this and think this is something worth trying here's some action steps to take:
1. make a list of topics that your audience wants to read about
2. search WA for blog articles on those topics
3. put them in a spreadsheet. with a column for title, your affiliate link, your sniply link, your bitly link, and the author
4. make sniply links for the affiliate link for each article and put in spreadsheet
5. make a bitly link for the affiliate link for each article and put in spreadsheet
6. find a royalty free stock images that work for each article
7.come up with catchy headlines for each of these articles
8. load up buffer with 10 of them to post out (would recommend having them post 1/hr for 10 hours)
9. review the analytics the next day to see which articles/post received the most engagement (like, shares/retweets, link clicks) and which receive none.
10. take the higher performing ones and find more WA articles on similar topics and repeat steps 3-8.
11. on the lower performing ones you can trying a different picture and headline and see if that improves engagement.
