Site Comments VS Feedback using the SiteRubix "pay it forward" platform
How many times have you been excited to see that you had a comment waiting for moderation, only to learn that it's not a comment at all; it's a critique of your entire website? Ugh!
First, you do not have to approve every comment submitted. Second, you can edit the comments if they are partially acceptable.
COMMENTS
Before leaving a comment, search for an article that you have some sort of interest in. This will make it easier to leave a quality comment worth reading and KEEPING.
When leaving comments, pretend you are a visitor to the page. Read the entire article. Leave an engaging comment by telling your own personal story that relates to the article and ask question(s). Maybe the author left a pertinent piece of info out, ask her/him so that the convo continues.
FEEDBACK
The comment section is not the appropriate place for critiquing a web page where the whole world can see. The proper place for critiquing is in the "feedback" area. This is a safe place, where only the website owner can see what's written. Try to give constructive feedback, and not bashing someone's good efforts. Here is the place to pass on something you may have learned, maybe from feedback on your own site, to help another person better his/her page.
WE ARE FAMILY
Remember, we are a family, and should assist one another toward success! A good rule of thumb to follow: Leave the kind of comments you'd want to receive and only give the kind feedback that can be useful. Easy peasy!
Peace. :)

You know Barb, maybe it would be easier if we explained that a comment is looking at a site as an outsider not a member of WA!
You are looking at the website to see if it is interesting and would draw a customer to that site.
Feedback is where you could give some information to help the person make the site better!
When you give a comment don't even put in the comment section that you are a member of WA! Just be a person of interest!
Thanks
Sheila
right, that's what I said at the beginning of this post, "When leaving comments, pretend you are a visitor to the page". WA shouldn't even be mentioned, you're right.
I do think that some people get confused about the difference between feedback and comment. Some people are not online enough to realize the difference, and will comment when they should be giving feedback and vice versa. It is easy peasy once you know the difference :-) Thanks for sharing!
This is a hard one for people to grasp it seems. I also know when you ask for a comment, it specifically asks what page or post you'd like a comment on, or the whole website? It's good to keep putting it out there for sure!
I believe the comments are for a specific post and the feedback can be for an over all site review or a specific page/post.
Thanks for the information, But is it nice to re-edit comment that people made inside. It give me a feeling that it is so fake. Regards Sadie.
just depends on the comment. If you're not comfortable editing, just don't approve it. See what Kyle says about editing comments in this lesson: How to Inject Your Comments With Intent
I agree, Sadie. I'd be tempted to leave the comment as it is, and let other visitors decide its validity. Carol

That was very helpful.
