On CBS this Morning, they announced that Google will start ranking websites lower if they are not mobile friendly because searching has gone way down due to websites not working on

Use a plugin or a mobile theme

Hi there,

the first thing you can do to make sure that your website is mobile-friendly is to check your theme. Is it responsive? Then your website is mobile-friendly.

Assuming that your theme is Sugar & Spice from Webtuts, it's responsive. I've attached an image from WordPress.org, showing the description from this theme and marked the part where it says it's responsive.

Also, you can run a test using Google's Mobile-Friendly test. It only takes a couple of minutes and, if any issues are found, will tell you which they are, so you can fix it.

Here's a link to the test.

Hope this helps and if you need help with that, let me know. :)

All the best,
Nicole

Google Webmaster tools.
On the left side there is Search Traffic and then in the drop down there is Mobile Usability. That is where you can test your site.
