Many Types of Personality Traits
Happy Tuesday, everyone!
I was looking into what describes people using personality traits, and found this picture. It is quite interesting to say the least. Yet, I feel that there's more words, and perhaps more categories than positive and negative traits. Anyhow, I am wondering what type of personality characterizes you?
Fell free to comment as I look to hear what you all have to say.

Great list Armand. Definitely, makes you think. They can also describe the type of people who are successful in life and business. A very useful list. I liked what Veronica said about adding words in front that can change positive to negative as well.

Thank you, Sharon! It does make me think. Yes, Veronica's point of adding "too" in front of the words under positive to negative traits can be counter-intuitive at best. Thanks for responding!
I can relate to this list as well. I find it feasible when positive personality traits occur. This is how like-minds connect.
I think it's interesting that most of the "positive" traits can actually be turned into a negative one if you just add one word before it: too.
If someone is too helpful, they can be overbearing; if someone is too indepedent, that could lead to arrogance; too much obedince without thinking about what you're being obedient to could lead to dire consequences (just look at history).
I actually never thought of that until I started to read over the list. Very interesting.
Wow, I never thought of it like that. That's a good way of looking at it. Nice observation, Veronica! I'll be sure to check myself if I'm overemphasizing the "too" under my positive personality traits. Thanks!

Thanks, Armand! Taking time for self examination is important, we should "check" ourselves regularly.
This is something I've studied a lot, both via a Psychology degree and personally. There are many more personality traits than this, and many theories on personality. Some are quite complex.
There is a simple personality test I like to use - when I was teaching high school students we did this as an extra-curricular activity with my seniors to help them get to know themselves, and to understand others better. When you identify the broad group of traits that you and others tend to operate in, it becomes easy to work with different people, respond appropriately to different people, and to improve your relationships!
I even used this tool years ago when I worked in a corporate position and was responsible for selecting project teams to work together...my teams complemented each other well and got the job done!
It's a fascinating topic!
Nat
Thank you, Natalie. I knew there was more to this list. Wow, you studied up on this, huh? I was wondering if you can tell me more on the theory of complexity behind the personality traits since you've mentioned it. I am curious to know now as I find it interesting. Perhaps you can show me that personality test too. I look forward to that.
Thanks in advance!

Armand, I think there may be others who would benefit as well...how about I write a blog post about personality types in the next couple of days? It is a very useful tool to know for relationships...
Definitely. I'll keep my eyes peeled for that, and looking for some insight on it as well. Thanks!
Armand, something to help you in the meantime from my website...it's an overview of the 4 main personality types in the protocol that I like to use. I'm busy now with doing a detailed blog post for each...boy, I love this stuff!!

I would like to think that I am one of the good guys but I have my moments like everyone else. But I keep trying. Have a great night Armand.
Thank you, Pablo. I can relate as I can have all traits too (some good and bad). You have a great night as well. Cheers!

I guess we all have to some degree most of these traits. Depending on the situation we might show more the positive or more the negative traits.
You can be right about that, Eric. I guess one can have positive traits one day, then flip a 360 and have negative traits the next day. I know it's wishful thinking, but I hope to have positive traits everyday.
