Great information, Arisara. I am becoming more irritated with Google with how they have boosted platforms like Reddit and all the sponsored results. Not only is it irritating to me from the standpoint of marketing, but as a user as well. I look forward to when GPT reales their search, as Kyle mentioned. Google has far too much of the market share.
Nancy
Thank you for your feedback, Nancy.
I understand your frustration with Google's increasing emphasis on sponsored content and platforms like Reddit in their search results. This can indeed be disruptive from both a marketing and user perspective. The emergence of new search technologies, like the anticipated GPT-based search engines, holds promise for addressing these concerns. It's exciting to consider how these advancements might offer more balanced and user-centric search experiences, potentially challenging Google's dominance in the market. Let's hope for a more diverse and competitive search engine landscape in the near future!

Arisara
GPT Search is coming very soon, and I think it is probably going to immediately eat up a decent % of the market share. Because they are not reliant on ads for their business like Google, they can be much more creative with their search , more focused on how to make it better (and less focused on how to make money from it).
I sincerely hope you are correct Kyle.... it's about time Google had some serious competition!! :-)
Great point! The launch of GPT Search could indeed shake up the market. With their business model not being ad-dependent like Google's, there's a significant opportunity for innovation and user-focused improvements in search technology. It's exciting to think about how a search engine driven by AI can prioritize user needs and deliver more relevant, high-quality results. This could mark a substantial shift in how we access information online and could lead to a more competitive and diverse search engine landscape.
Best Regards
Arisara
