Stay Motivated
I thought I would be further along than what I am by now. I am having a hard time staying motivated. What do you do to get yourself up and going?

Having a purpose like the one I have here helps me move forward without discouraging me. Above all, I know that if I need help, there is always an answer somewhere with one of the good souls of this platform. I hope you find again the positive force that has brought you here.

Hello Andrew
The things that keep me motivated are a desire to help and encourage others.
This has been the way I have done things for many years.
Another thing that I use is having a good time management system in place that pushes me to achieve the goals I have set.
Discipline is one of my strengths and this is something that also drives me forward.
I just hate giving up on something that is for me fun to do.
All the best to you and hope this helps you.
Darren :)
If I can't make this work I will have to consider doing something much less savory to put food on the table when my money runs out.before long. I have put myself into a routine that I don't often deviate from and stick to it.
Good luck!
Joe
I simply imagine my life without having to look forward to eventually achieving the goals I have set for myself at WA, and decide that I'm in for a penny, in for a pound--if I quit now, all that I have already achieved will have been for naught!

Hi Andrew, here's what helps me stay motivated.
*Understanding it's a long game. It's going to take time.
*Connecting with my greater goals and vision.
*Getting clear on why I'm doing this.
*Getting clear on who I'm doing this for - who I serve.
* Getting so excited about learning, the journey that I forget about the end result.
*Changing it up. Trying new things. Taking on new challenges.
*Taking inspiration and motivation from others who have succeeded before me. Nathaniell has a brilliant post here: The 10 Years Question: How Long Does It Take To Be Successful? Take heart, starting is the hardest part. Once you get some momentum going, it gets easier.

For me, it is too many things to do and so little time. So, I plan a list of action items and try to keep with it. Challenges are also good for motivation and the community here to keep us going is a good daily reminder.
I usually take some time off to unwind, then I come back into writing mode while having my target goals in mind.
Hi Andrew, It is certainly tough to stay motivated, especially if what you are doing does not get the results you expect. I have looked at about a dozen or more of the success stories at WA, to try to see what they do and learn lessons from them, Alan.
