I Cant Contain My Excitement!
I know I could have easily just added this into my last blog post YouTube Shorts Day 2 Celebration, but I needed to add a bit more to this one!
Again, I really want to say this isn't a bragging post, because in the real YouTubers world these numbers are chump change, this is to give those members here that are maybe sitting on the fence contemplating.... Should I/Shouldn't I? start a YouTube Channel? And for those just starting out here at Wealthy Affiliate.
Today, my newest channel which as people who read my YouTube shorts blog know that it is now 4 days old, has had 2.2K views, and I now have a whopping 6 Subscribers!
I said it in my last blog, and I will say it again, for those of you who have just joined Wealthy Affiliate and are thinking is this the right place to be, well I have to say it's a resounding YES! from me.
3 Years ago, I joined here as a Premium Member (Premium Plus Now), and for building a legitimate online business, in my opinion there is no better option on the Internet (Oh yeah, I spent a lot of $$$ finding that out lol).
The people we have here Jay, Eric, Partha (there are a ton more, these are just the guys I stalk LOL) who provide us with the knowledge to succeed is unbelievable, then you throw one of the Co-Founders in Kyle into the mix and you have to think is there anywhere else I can get this kind of help with my online business??
Ok...... The bit has now probably gone on more than just a bit, but I do want to thank this community as a whole, because I have learned a whole lot from everyone here and continue doing that every day!

I'm really pleased to hear that your YouTube channel is going so well, that's great news!
It's interesting that you said you spent $$$ before joining Wealthy Affiliate, my story was very similar. I literally spent thousands trying to work out how to make money online. The problem I had was that I didn't know if what I was reading was true or false; most of it was exaggerated fluff!
It took me 3 years to get my first moneymaking website up, I believe that I could probably learn more in one month with Wealthy Affiliate that I did in 3 years. Fortunately, I was already making money when I came to the Wealthy Affiliate platform, but I do value the community and the up-to-date training very much.

That really is a great start to a new YT channel, Mark.
Can I ask how long it takes you to produce a short video? I've done some experimenting and find that between planning, creating the assets and editing, it takes me around 6hrs (at a weekend if I'm free) per short. Am I slow?
Hey Matt,
My YT shorts can take me anything from 40 minutes to an hour depending on how much video editing I want to do. I try and keep the actual video editing pretty simple, as it is the information in this Niche that Piques the interest of viewers.
It really does depend on the niche you are targeting, is it an informative or visual concept you are aiming for?
If its visual, then yes, the majority of your time will be spent on video editing, and if its informative then less time on creating a fancy video and more time on creating your content. (I hope that makes sense)
The research on the other hand is where I do spend a lot of time for each short :)
Honestly Matt, I really don't think you can be too fast or too slow when it comes to creating shorts!
