Hi All

This will not be a long post just would love some help I need from you at least from those who take time to read my posts if you don't mind.

I am asking for your input to a question for a pillar post I am currently working on.

Now I won't say what the actual topic of the post is but will say it is about health and the Human Body.

I know that may sound a bit vague but giving away the actual keyword topic may alter the outcome of what I am asking.

With many forms of research I have been looking at and I am confident with the answer already but wanted your input which is more valuable than certain studies.

As with many studies they are always usually at least 10-15 years old and most of the time no new or recent evidence comes forth though in this case they tend to come up with a similar answer.

Once I have more then it will enable me to add to this pillar posts. I already have a couple of posts on the keyword topics to internally link to and will do some more after this pillar post.

What I want to ask is from real people like my fellow community members on your thoughts and views to the question below.

It doesn't have to be long it could be a few words and perhaps even a short reason why you think it is with your answer.

You can always add more either now if you have some nutritional knowledge or later if you come up with some more thoughts and views.

I am not looking for any external links there are plenty I already have but wanted answer from you with your thoughts and reasons on what you think yourself.

What I would like you to answer if you are so kind to do so is to provide your ideas to the question below:

As I said I know it may be a bit vague but if you think about it you could be facing this yourself with your health or may have found a reason why that is so.

Perhaps you know of someone else that has a deficiency that has created some health issues for them as a result of these deficiency in the body.

Hint:

it is based on nutrition within the body that is all I can add.

The question is:

What do you consider to be the main cause or causes of deficiencies one may have with their health and their body.

It is as simple as that.

Your answers are very much appreciated.

Thank you

Andre

Well, my answer may sound a bit crazy and woo woo for some of you but I believe that all health issues manifest from our thoughts. We are all energy and if we hang on to negative energy (ie, negative thoughts and trauma deep within our unconscious mind it will manifest itself into the physical body as illness). Our beliefs and mindset can help us to heal or to be ill.

However, on a nutritional level, I do believe that most of the foods that are available for us to eat are lacking in nutritional value. Too many preservatives, pesticides and gluten. We need to eat more organic fruits and vegetables as well as grass fed meats.

I think I read once that if it doesn't have legs or grow on a tree or a vine, then it's not good for you.

Hi Jarielyn thank you for your contribution here very much appreciated.

Yes the mind can do wonderful things but also can be detrimental to our health by physically and mentally and as you stated past trauma that hasn't been released correctly can easily manifest into a physical condition.

That is true and only one aspect so it is not crazy or woo-woo at all.

Yet the physical body still needs proper nutrition for it to function. Together with the right mindset, both can be a wonderful way to enhance our lives, and yet many don't bother which creates that disharmony we often see with health.

I agree, too many preservatives, pesticides, and highly processed foods can have a drastic effect on our bodies as many vital nutrients are lost in the process of this modern-day society.

Yes, we need to eat all the right foods from the good old food groups many of us baby boomers would remember but mainly those that add value nutrition-wise for other areas within our body that help to regulate and control our physical functioning.

But also be mindful that the foods we eat are in balance and not over abused as many do these days.
The inner body needs certain elements as a cofactor with other say vitamins and minerals to function correctly which when done helps other areas of the body function in the way it should.

Too much is never a good thing and depending on the health issue for the person can create more issues added to current health condition one may face.

They say it all starts with the mind which is true to a point but it also starts from within with the right nutrients ones need to survive.

Thank you for your input much appreciated.

Andre

Thank you for your reply to my comment. I appreciate you taking the time.

most welcome and good to hear from you as well been a while hope all is well and you are enjoying all before you.

Andre

Andre, this is right up my alley!

It is diet. i.e. the quality of the foods that we eat.

To further explain:
The body has the power to heal itself and self-regulate.
It tells you what it needs IF you take the time to understand it and what it NEEDS.
Human beings eat for pleasure not for life and healthy living.
The most dangerous thing ever created was processed foods.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for asking.

Cassi

Thanks Cassi yes processed foods these days has done much harm for out bodies along with other areas. We can have what we think is a healthy diet but the nutrients may not always be what the body needs etc.

enjoy your day and thank you

Andre

My personal health experience has taught me that the main foundational reason for deficiencies is malabsorption. You can ingest all the healthy food you want, but if you aren't absorbing it, you'll develop deficiencies.
Eating/consuming does not automatically equal absorption.
Malabsorption can be caused by many things including celiac disease, inflammation, leaky gut, sibo, stress, colitis, chrons, bile acid malabsorption (BAM), and a host of other things.
Other factors matter too. But how well you absorb nutrients is a key piece of the process.

Very true Stella if the body is unable to absorb the nutrients from the food taking then our health will not bode well.

The various cells of the body needs to be able to function properly in order to absorb what is available without that it will just pass through and not provide what is needed.
The gut microbe is vital for much of that as well such as pre and pro biotics amongst others before that can be absorbed elsewhere.

Andre

Exactly! And once the gut microbe is out of whack, it can be very difficult to balance it again without strict adherence to a long-term plan.
Even what looks like a healthy diet can feed sibo and cause problems, including malabsorption and deficiencies.

True plus one can feel like they have a healthy diet but it also depends on what is in that diet and what benefits they will get as a result and not always the right vitamins and minerals their body needs.

Okay first thing that comes to mind is food we eat. My wife is a celiac, so no gluten) and also allergic to nightshade which is potato, tomato, peppers(all of them), egg plant, tomatillos, paprika which all belong to a family that includes the non-edible plants that are deadly like tobacco, belladonna and mandrake. Also her system cannot tolerate Grapes(many canned fruit and juices have grape juice in them). Also vegan. So no meat either. Add hypothyroidism to the cocktail. You discover quickly that a deficiency in certain vitamins and minerals create issues with your body. Fortunately she gets cravings for certain foods and what she really wants to eat happens to contain nutrients she lacks. Took us a while to figure that out. Your body will tell you what you need, you have to pay attention and listen. Main deficiencies have been calcium, magnesium, iron, vitamin B's, B2, B6, B12. Vitamin D. We juice everyday, mostly celery, carrot, apple, cucumber, and kale. Lack of nutrients, calcium and magnesium cause severe cramps in the legs. Lack of vitamin D's will cause her to get very tired, then irritable, Sad and depressed. lack of vitamin B she notices in her eyes first. She has great vision so when things are blurry or headache above the eyes or sharp pain the head, we know it is that and lack of Iron. Hopefully this helps. We know when her body is not running on all cylinders, it correlates normally to lack of something that is slowing down or altering part of the chain. Lastly Take any of the effect of the lack of nutrients listed above and add any amount of stress and it can multiply the effect by 5 to 10X. Like not feeling well, being very week and then having to drive your car on a freeway with wind gusts. When you tighten your grip on the wheel you find your whole body tensing up and tightening causing more issues with a body already deficient in proper nutrients. Sorry for the length, hope it helps.

Thank you Robert really enjoyed reading your response, not about your wife I wish her well and will send some healing energies her way if she wishes.

Yes certainly, there are many areas that may create deficiencies, and as you said, vitamins and minerals are a must to maintain optimum functions as they don't just work on their own but also many depend on the other to help it work properly.

Certainly, lack of nutrients is a key focus and one needs to look at the issue such as you mention about cramps as to why that is happening and not look at the surface level and just say it is just muscle overwork.

That may be the case for overstretching during excise or not enough stretching but if it is a constant thing then one needs to look deeper into what deficiency one has that is creating that issue in the first place.

You have mentioned much of what I already know and looking for in my question and so great work.

Do have a great week ahead and wishing your wife healing.

Andre

Hi Andre,

Great question. I am not sure what you mean about nutrition within the body. Do you mean the body not making enough nutrients to provide good health? The human body is not capable of synthesizing essential nutrients. These have to come through the food we eat. Hence, I will address the deficiencies related to the food we eat.

Since it is very difficult to structure diets that give us not only the essential nutrients we need but also in the right quantities, taking supplements has become one way of making up for this shortfall.

Now to answer your question based on my assumptions above. This may not be what you are looking for. But here goes.

When I was a life insurance agent I noticed a common pattern. One group of individuals who I shall not mention suffered greatly from diabetes. Every person from this demographic was taking metformin. They happen to eat rice three times a day.

So demographics appear to be one answer.

The second answer is that people who do not eat sufficient fruits and vegetables also suffer from a deficiency in certain nutrients that can result in diseases associated with that gap.

It is interesting that supplements cannot cure diseases, but they are capable of delaying the onset of these diseases in most cases. There are always exceptions.

Many years ago doctors never prescribed nutritional supplements as part of their treatment. That has changed. I think the medical profession has come a long way in understanding how taking in nutrients in the right quantities can help their patients. My doctor has prescribed Vitamins B and D for example.

I think I have written enough. Was this of any help Andre?

Cheers.

Edwin

Thank you Edwin you have done well yes supplements can help slow down certain health issues (too many to say) but also supplements can depending on the person's health can also be a detriment to that person which can cause diarrhoea, nausea or abdominal cramps.

Certainly agree with vitamin D and most people are lacking in that area which is vital to have it is not just gained from being in sunlight but insufficient vitamin D creates other issues with Calcium which can then run rampant in a negative way.
Vitamin D helps to regulate Calcium amongst other nutrients or minerals.

Totally agree with you that supplements cannot cure diseases that can at best slow down but not cure. That would only be one part and adding other treatments or methods can help the body further in some cases.

Hi Andre…fascinating and right up my alley. I have no clinical background - just a person who’s been studying about health since childhood.

My first thought, as most have mentioned is diet. We eat too much artificial food and not enough “real.” Most people get far less daily fruits and veg for example.

I would also tie that in to lack of exercise, poor sleep, chronic stress and bad but “easy” choices (smoking, drinking, drugs etc).

Trying to stay healthy is hard work nowadays. And there’s not enough info on natural remedies because it’s not profitable. Best of luck with your post!

Susan

Thank you Susan you are so right with all you said especially the last area with natural remedies as groups like big Pharma is so against it because they know the focus on medication etc gives them more money.

Many Governments are not much different they all have their hands in each other pockets to think Medical was once natural civilization occurred along with greed and corruption not we have more drugs some help much work against the body that can do more harm than good in many cases.

As to your other areas certainly true particularly with the real food statement too much processing of food takes away much-needed nutrients in food and one of the reason why we are lacking these vitamins, minerals, etc within our body may cause deficiencies along the way.

Thank you Susan very much appreciated.

Andre

I think you and I are on the same track, Andre. Thanks for your reply. Best wishes to you! 😊

Pretty much Susan enjoy your day time for me to try and get some sleep already 2.30 am Thursday

Take care and have a great day.

Andre
