Industry Millionaire Seminar

I woke up early on a Sunday morning (5:29am) to attend this seminar. I was told by someone who attended the seminar to register early as it is going to be packed. Not taking any chances to be sitting in the back row, I just put my self in auto mode. Wake up - take a bath - drive to the seminar - register - and wait. As I arrived at the seminar around 7am, there were already people earlier than me. But that’s OK since I don’t have to wait in a long queue for the registration. At half past 7, the registration hall began to get crowded (you can see from the picture).

I just queued at the entrance door and waited. I was the 7th person in line. I began to take notes on the event which I would like to share. These were my observation while waiting in line:

• There are a huge number of people who wanted to succeed but does not know how.
• Wealth is blind towards gender. The ratio of male to female were equal. But I do see more female than male during the event.
• Wealth is blind towards age. I see people as young as 18 years old and people who have passed their 60s.
• Wealth is blind towards race. I see all race attending the seminar. Malay, Chinese and Indian as I’m attending the seminar in Malaysia.
• Wealth is blind towards looks. I don’t need to elaborate more on this.
• Wealthy knows patience, progress and perseverance.

As the flood gates to the seminar were opened, people went in and got their seats. I looked around and saw the hall was full. Even the second level was full. Sorry can show you here as I've signed an agreement not to take pictures within the seminar hall. The front seats were reserved for special needs people. Man, was I surprised to see 2 gentlemen in their wheelchair in the front seats. Kudos to them.

Some take away from the seminar. There are 3 distinctive types of people:

1. Negative People. Always criticizing on every single thing. The whiners.
2. Procrastinators or spectators. They would just observe from afar, not take action and would just let the opportunity pass by.
3. People who Attack. These people would take the bull by their horns and take action on their dreams and desires.

Among the 3, which one are you? I guess most of you are type 3. That's why you are in Wealthy Affiliate.

And as you might have heard for so many time:

"90% of the business would fail in the first year". For sure, anyone would fail if they go into any business without knowledge.

In order for us to succeed, we need 5 things. Which I put in a 5 letter word “DMASK”.

Desire: Your desire to succeed must be huge enough and crystal clear to create the pull. Be it positive or negative. For example, if your desire is to make your family happy no matter what. You would put in action whatever it takes to make sure that your family is not affected by the global financial slowdown which is affecting so many families all around the globe. You will make that sacrifice.

Mentor: All successful people have mentors. Even Warren Buffett had a mentor. He had Ben Graham behind his back. Mentors would guide you in the right path. He would alert you when you are doing wrong and could also be source of encouragement.

Action: With all the knowledge you have and all the training that you have been through would not serve you at all if you haven’t taken the step to put all those knowledge into action. Remember massive action equals massive results.

System: This is a no brainer. In order for you to work more efficient you need a system.

Knowledge: Most people stop learning after college and get a job. This is a killer. It is the human beings nature to gain knowledge. As if it is built within us. The progress in gaining knowledge is what fulfills us. Try stop gaining knowledge, you would feel dead inside. I do.

Relating DMASK with Wealthy Affiliate. It seems like a perfect match. You have three elements in WA which are Mentor (Kyle, Carson, Jay and a bunch of great guys and gals), Knowledge (a whole lot of training and wabinars), System (Keyword tool, wordpress express, rapid writer). The other 2 must come from you. Desire (what is your sacrifice level) and Action (all you).

You have all the tools to succeed, but it is not going to help you a bit if you don't take the first action.
