My friend, don't worry everything will be fixed. You may have just installed plugins you don't need.
If you are in the Online Entrepreneur Certification Course just continue it. However, if you have not yet started you better give a time for it am sure you will enjoy because it will give you step by step process in making your site.
Am not an expert but if I can help just knock at the door and I will open, lol.

my feature images are not being sized for some reason eg. when I try to scale my feature image of size 150*150 that's appear bigger than 229*200 in size
What am I missing
also, you can also forget the featured image function and just use normal images because I was unable to do anything at all with this function!!!!
thanks........for your help ...may I know that normal images can only be uploaded into the post?dissimilar of the feature image isn't it that people can look at my normal images as featured images....

The pic you chose as a featured image is normally already in your post, and will appear in the size you used to show in your post. If you want your featured pic to be a different size on your homepage/blogroll, you need to upload the same photo to your library again, scale it, and chose that one as featured image. Your featured image don't have to be in your post, you can chose any photo from your library, but you can't show the same photo in two places in two different sizes......but you can have the same image two times in the library in two different sizes...Hope that helps :-))
