I wanted to get this posted before I start the new tasks come out for the coming month.

This week in the challenge:

I have made an effort to spend more time in chat and also to answer questions people have.

Optimizing Images:

I am trying to figure out how to compress the images on my site, I check the site loading speed and it is slow.... So I need to figure this out and these are some tutorials I read to learn how to optimize my images.

Optimized using ting PNG site from tutorials. Don't let the cuteness fool you, he is a nut. I have not done this for my site yet but I didn't think the images would be that large because they are taken with a phone camera.

SEO:

I want to build my site to rank with SEO instead of promoting through social media because of all the algorithms changes that happens in social media, so I have been trying to learn as much as I can about SEO. I signed up for a SEO 5 day boot camp, it was a free email course and I am going to work my way through the SEO training here. I watched the SEO a blog post training.

I also continued to listen to podcasts while I can at work, I need to work on using the things I learn through those shows a little more, I can not think of a single thing I learned this week from them.... The problem might be that by the time I get home I forget a lot of the information. So I decided to be a little more deliberate in what I listen to and downloaded some shows about SEO, keep my learning the same at home and what I can listen to at work.
