Sad Day
To day I feel sad, remembering my mothers Birthday. She was a fine woman and always full of words of wisdom......,which when you are young, you tend not to want to listen. Often my mother would make quotations .for eg.`a stitch in time saves nine``.Her favourite for me was , " procrastination is the thief of time" as I would frequently say ,"ok ! I`ll do it tomorrow". In fact I would retaliate with my own quote of, " Put off today what you can do tomorrow ! "
However , over the years I have become somewhat better at doing things when and if they need doing which brings me to the subject of the CHALLENGE given by a member , open to other members, to write a blog a day, for 30 days ! on their sites.
I am going to `pick up the gauntlet`, and accept the challenge.???
Happy Birthday Mum!...

So sorry to hear about your sadness today. It sounds like you had some good memories too, though. It's both tough and tender when those we love have left us. Good luck on your challenge. You've got what it takes!
Thank you Annie for your sentiments, very kind.
only thing now is my `got what it takes`, is rapidly `going`! lol.
Well, see, she's still with you and would be proud to see your progress as a fine person, coming into her own.
Still, it's difficult on the BD of the loved one who passed. Our thoughts are with you today Angie. Power on!

Hi Ann.
Thank you for sharing.
My mom also left, almost 12 years ago but her teachings have helped me to become the person that I am today. I am sure you feel the same. I understand the pain.
Yes, Procrastination is one of our biggest enemies. Glad you are keeping an open mind.

Thanks Lisa, Yes , it`s been twenty years , but memories are still vivid.
It is a different world today as I cannot talk to my own children in quite the same way. when I was growing up there were no computers ,no mobile phones.
Hi Angie,
basically it was the same when I was growing up. Every era is different and the best we can do is to adjust to life's requirements.
Lisa
Yes, that`s my philosophy at present.
