Starting my journey!

So, here I am about to start what will hopefully be a really amazing and rewarding journey. Like at the start of any adventure, there is a sense of nervousness but also excitement at the possibility of what's to come.
I originally tried making money online several years ago but sadly without much success. I was trying to do things all on my own and only relying on whatever free resources I could find. Although I was able to build a website and eventually get a small amount of traffic, I found incredibly difficult to keep myself motivated and in the end I gave having made virtually no money at all. I felt extremely frustrated with the whole process and felt it was only a lucky few who were able to succeed.
I didn't have the benefit of something as amazing as Wealthy Affiliate behind me. Although I've only been in this community a short while, I'm really impressed by the level of engagement and sense of togetherness that I have experienced so far. The training is extremely clear and easy to follow and I have already got a lot of ideas for content for my site.
When I was first put in this post together I was originally planning to use an image of runners on the starting block. The more I thought about it I realised that this isn't really a race. With the Internet being so large and the number of online users in the world growing all the time, there is space for all of us to find our niches really start making some money online which, after all, is the goal!
A plan to post regularly about how I'm getting on and I really appreciate any feedback and encouragement that you can give me. I have a full-time job and about two hours of commuting every day, which I imagine is similar for a lot of you. Although I can't spend hours every single day working on my website, I am really looking forward to the challenge as long as I stay focused on my goals I'm confident that I can get there.

I want to be able to look back in six months or a year's time and be proud of what I have achieved. At the moment I feel like just taking baby steps but I know that every little thing that I do helps me move forward and get better each day.
