Feeling Disappointed
I am feeling rather disappointed to say the least. A few days ago I had a new follower within WA send me a private message suggesting that we could help each other out by leaving each other positive comments on each others site, I was happy to oblige and visited this persons site and read their content and left a comment using some key words, and guess what I am still waiting for the favour to be returned. Being somewhat miffed by this as I know this is not how the community within WA work I sent this person a private message asking what has happened to their part of the agreement, and yes you've guessed it I am still waiting for them to respond.
Do not get me wrong I am always happy to help someone if I am able to do so but I do feel rather used and conned as I kept my side of an arrangement and now feel empty handed. This is far from common from the WA community in fact I have never experienced this before. Why am I writing about this? I wanted to worn others and just wondered if anyone else have had this done to them.
Take care everyone, from a very disappointed member.

Instead of being disappointed, use the situation as a learning experience.
First, think of what you learned by reading some one else website.
Second, try using then Comment Feature under Rubix. It is a pay forward scheme to insure comment exchanges.
Third, you should have learned a lesson. Don't fall into private comment exchange schemes.
Bottom line is, this isn't something to be disappointed over. It is a learning experience. You will have many more here at WA.
Good luck with your website training, Andrew
Andrew benefit of doubt maybe ? I myself am not able to interact on a daily basis here just my life commitments maybe thus person is also unable to get on daily . Use site comments mate you won't have this ;)
I did think of that , so I wrote on their profile that I had left comments and they replied by thanking me so if they had time to reply they had time to repay the favour surely.
Strangely enough I also had a request from someone saying that we could exchange comments on our web-sites.
I said to this person that, although my site is nowhere near ready to receive comments as yet - I would quite happily comment on their site postings. I also didn't receive any sort of a reply......
I can understand your annoyance Andrew - I didn't actually leave any comments as the person did not reply to me at all..
Of course, as Samantha says, there may also be an understandable reason why this person has been unable to get back to you.....
I can relate to your disappointment Andrew.
You know you can rest assured, with or without your doing, the person will have to pay the price. And this price will be much higher than a left out comment from somebody.
Energies always attract alike. I can only recommend you to let it go and forgive. It will put you at ease and always remember if you are angry at anybody you only spoil your present time and day, the people you are angry at won't even bother.
If you are angry at somebody or disappointed you only punish yourself for the mistakes of those people you are disappointed at.
sunny regards

I'm sorry this happened to you, but how many days have passed? Could it be possible something happened in the person's life that temporarily prevented them from holding up their end of the bargain?
Even in the best "communities" there will always be a certain percentage of unethical snakes - have to learn to step around them.
It's a rarity here but it does happen.
Before doing anything like that again, check them out as throughly as possible.
Sorry this happened to you.
Send me a PM with the article you want a comment on - I'll give you one!
Your very kind, it's was not about me getting the comments so much more the principle, but always grateful for feedback, my site is http://pedal trek.com I'm happy to repay the favour.
Cheer up, today is a Sunday. Do you know this saying: shit happens? Few weeks ago I wrote few comments before Site Comments feature hoping for favor back. Nothing. So what? Just get a grip, smile and work on your website.
All the best to you, Nemira
P.S. Pardon for my language:)
Sorry to hear about you situation , I to have this said to me but it never happened. I'm sure all the members here have intentions. Keep your chin up Andy
That's a shame Andrew and I would say people like that are in the minority here. Just like another other community, there will always be people who take advantage, the scammers etc.
My advice is don't respond to pms asking for reciprocal comments, but I guess you've found this out now. I always use the comment system or the comment thread for this.
It's a pity you can't name and shame, my guess is that this person probably sent a pm to many other people.

Is their website in a similar niche? Sometimes well meaning people don't think things through or investigate things properly. They may not have anything meaningful to add to your site if it's an unfamiliar niche.
If that was the case you would get back to that person and just say so surely, or is that just me.
I agree. That's just common courtesy which unfortunately has gone by the way of common sense now a days.
