Second Article Took All Day
Greetings Eager Beavers!
My free time is not as abundant as it used to be, with this new relocation and job transfer. I get about 2 hours a day to do something, before making an 80 mile drive into work for an hour. Yes, here in good old Florida, we can make that happen in little over an hour. So I spend my weekends trying to bang out an article or make some site changes.
Well after 2 months of being back here, I finally got the affiliate bootcamp site to my liking. I did buy a pro version of a theme and a domain, I figured it was worth the cost. I spent the weekend before last changing my theme and getting fonts set to what I want, sizes, colors, etc. All in all I am picky and it took me like 15 hours to sort it out. Not sure how long you guys take, but I figure when I do stuff the first time it takes me longer than most, I'll get quicker.
This weekend I sat down to create a new second article. This time I wanted pictures and to try to go the best route I could think. After taking time constructing pictures, uploading and inserting, it gets lengthy. I am no english major, count on me as the math brain. I used the content creator here, which works with Grammarly! Which I also used on this post too...
Took me all day to put it together. I was constantly thinking what header next, which content to discuss, I was so scatter brained, perhaps trying to sabotage myself? Who knows. I held it together and got the post done before sunset!
I finished up my night watching The Patriot. Let's see what happens! My first article didn't get indexed so I'll have to keep it there as a lesson. Well, day job time. Enjoy your day fellow WA'ers!

Great work on getting your article done, even if it took longer than expected. Maybe a tip for the future would be to come up with a bulleted framework, our outline, of what you want to discuss in your article before you start writing. That way you have the boundaries of your content already laid out so you don't feel overwhelmed, or get off topic of what you originally planned to write about. With time, writing does get easier, the importance part is you are actually taking action. You can always go back and re-write earlier content if you need to.
I tried to have some bullet points and even made header titles before the content. It's making it unique and interesting where I sit and stir. I am trying really hard to work on making it nature talk flow versus information. I was starting to just give bullet point information with no personality. It was like I was dragging that part out kicking and screaming. lol Thanks for the advice, perhaps I will tweak my starting point and see if it aligns the dominoes better.
Sometimes it can take a bit of trial and error before writing becomes more natural for you. Don't be afraid to "be yourself" when you write. It's your own personal tone and conversational voice that will separate you from others.
Sometimes the writing comes more easily to us than other times but you got it done eventually and that's great. Likely you will be faster on the next one. The Patriot is a good movie!
Not only do I love the movie for the story and actors, but I love my country so it's an amazing all around experience for me every time.
You are really making the best use of your time. You can always edit your first article to make it more SEO friendly.

You do sound busy, I use to commute an hour each day, it was so exhausting, I don't know how you manage to concentrate on WA after a long day, but good on you. Wishing you the best with your online business.

I never had such a commute in my life, it's been a trip. My motivation to keep going is what the future could be. I need something to be able to help my family out with, they all are going conventional for money. The prospect of being able to pay my parents bills when they retire so they don't get put somewhere bad is all I need.
