Building A New Site Website - Coming Soon!
Hi guys and gals! I hope everything is going well for you. I just wanted to share some news and a bit on an experience that I had yesterday.
Those of you who have spoken with me and seen my website in the past, will know that I have been running it for quite a while. In fact The "Make Money Online Zone" will be two years old in October. The website is doing ok with affiliate products and has helped a few members find their way to Wealthy Affiliate. However, I have decided that I need a bit of a change...
Over the last couple of weeks I have been going through some ideas of what to do next. And finally I came up with something that I thought I could work with. I had a plan and I found a good domain name that worked well with the niche. Everything was ready... Until I came to hosting it on Wealthy Affiliate!
I spent most of yesterday trying to figure out a problem that I have never experienced before. I had everything set up to start working on the new site, but when I tried to log in, I found that I couldn't! I contacted Wealthy Affiliate support who were great. They tried to log in and immediately got straight into the admin area. Yet, I still couldn't...
I spent hours yesterday, clearing my history, clearing my DNS cache, uninstalling WordPress and then re-installing it! You name it, I tried it! Nothing worked.
Meanwhile I could log into my other websites with no problem at all. I then tried to access my new website via a proxy that hides your IP address. Amazingly, this worked! It seemed that my IP address was blocked from getting into my own site.
Wealthy Affiliate support said that my IP address was definitely not blocked and that I should speak with my service provider. By this time, I had had enough so decided to leave it over night.
I just tried to get access to the site this morning and miraculously it let me log in with no problems! Amazing!
I'm not sure what the problem was, I'm just pleased that everything works now! Thanks to Wealthy Affiliate support, I'm sure they must have been fed up of hearing from me yesterday!
So... On with the new website. Although I won't say what it's going to be about just now, I will say that it's going to be VERY different. And I'm also thinking of doing some experimenting with Google Adsense. I tried making money with Adsense in the past but it didn't work out very well. Perhaps I need a new approach?

Glad to know that the problem was resolved. It just shows that we should never quit. All the best with your new idea.
It is very discouraging when one spends so much time on something that seems to have no cause. I have found that letting something sit is a good "fixer" quite often! Glad all worked out well.

It can sometimes be that your ISP is caching, so flushing your DNS can help, also if your IP address is dynamically assigned, turning the router off for an hour or so should hopefully get you a new one!
