One of the hardest things in this current climate is to stay optimistic, and to Believe & stay with the hope things will be better tomorrow, next week, next month .

Opting to be a mystic ?

Normally I would - and its usually my go to place :) - but my crystal ball is packed away and I need to turn to focusing on my skills and work on developing my mindset .

Change your mindset

The Effect YOU can have on your thoughts and using the SKILLS your have to change will be the best thing to get your out of that Shitty head space your find yourself in !

Thoughts which become actions are critical to your feeling a sense of control. Cultivate your attitude and re frame a negative situation .

Let's face it now more than ever we all have those days of waking up and not knowing how the day, week, month will unfold. But here is some things to help your through :

*Ground yourself in your day - say the day, the date and acknowledge where your are right at this moment .

* Look out the window and compliment one thing yousee ( try not to look out & think - the weather is horrible ! - and if it is - well what are YOU going to do about it ? :)

What 3 things can your achieve today ?

Do something new each day - ( and I don't mean watch a new Netflix movie ! do that later ! )

1. Maybe learn a new word or phrase in another language or learn to count to 10 in another language?

2. Make something your never cooked before ( yes your can use a packet mix ! ) Or Make a different type of smoothie or juice ?

3. Use your Mood muscle - Move your body ! Maybe even in a different way - even if its 10-20 minutes a day try a new dance move, wriggle your toes in the grass or the sand - keep walking /running/skipping/jumping - get fresh air .

Don't default to Pessimism

When things don't go your way or you feel your have lost control - could this be you ?

1. You focus on what's wrong

*. You ruminate/complaint- which leads to :

  • Seeing the situation with more negativity - which leads to :

* . Being stuck in more negativity .

Guess what ?? Stop it !!!

Any moment you can decide not to do those things above - voila ! You have just taken your control back :) Easier said than done ? Yep . *. *..

Starting your day with intention

1. Don't allow panic and anxiety to start your day

and if "Negative Nelly " sticks her nose through your 3rd eye use the :

*. 5 second response - count backwards : 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. *.. reset . *...reground . *...redirect your thoughts - be gentle on yourself

*. Switch your language. Get rid of the " I need to . * " " I have to . * " and try

" I get to . *. " " I get to wake up " " I get to go and do the garden " " I get to go and have a shower " or whatever it is

4. And Yes Laugh . * Laughter IS THE BEST MEDICINE and YES make someone else laugh- even if you only do it in two's ! .

Love this post Amera. I always use Moaning Minnie and now we have Negative Nelly. I wonder if between us all we can go through the alphabet!
