Don't miss this wonderful Mobile Speed Test by Google
I recently read a topic about testing mobile speed on Google+, and I want to share the result with you.
Google provides a free testing system that allows us to find out how fast is your website on mobile devices. Here is the result of mine:
My site loads in 7 seconds on mobile, and I lose 26% of my visitors since my pages loaded
So, please try this test and let me know the result.
Here you can test:

Thanks Amir,Very quick and easy test to perform I managed 4 s 10%.Handy to know, thanks for sharing.
All the best,Matt.
The first time I run the test, it showed me 5 sec, Amir. I tried it out on my mobile phone, and it took barely 3 sec. to be loaded. I then tried it on my wife's two phones. Took on both about 3 sec. too. So I tried it out a second time with the Google tool. This time it told me 12 sec.
I guess this is a gadget for collecting email addresses, as you can ask for a report on how to improve your speed.
I less and less believe in all those tools. I believe in what I see. And that was on three different phones with three different operating systems (Windows, iOS, Android). And all three uploaded the same site in the same time.
Anyhow, thanks for sharing this information with us, Amir.
Hi Eric, I am happy to hear that your site loaded very quickly on both your phone and your wife's phone. Please understand thought that this test is based on 3G (ie "old" mobile speed rates) The quote they use is "70% of cellular network connections globally will occur at 3G or slower speeds through 2020." This site helped me because I have an international market and I used a lot of graphics on my website. All the best.
Wow, really?!
I regularly share these kind of thing to know more. So, I liked your point of view and this could be happened, maybe they want to collect email addresses.
These days it hard to believe these things.
Thanks Glenys for your comment. The Samsung phone I used is 3G. Indead it was the slowest in milli-seconds. Still it didn't take 5 sec., not to mention 12 sec..
Actually, for me anything which loads within 5 sec. is good enough. If I loose some visitors because of that, so be it. If they couldn't wait for 5 sec., it means they were anyhow not really serious about it.
Hi Eric, Thank you for that. My site currently loads at 6 sec and is full of graphics and youtube videos. I was beginning to toss around what kind of changes I should be making. I really liked your pragmatic approach that really, if they can't wait 5 seconds then they really were not that serious about my information anyway. This "bottom line" refreshing approach is a good one to keep in mind as we all make decision moving forward. Good luck with your website.
poor and you need to get it sorted - I did a blog on this yesterday WA members should be getting 5s and 19% -
Are you using the WA site speed tool?
Are you using EWWW image optimiser?
If not that is why you have a poor score
Let me know and I can help OK
I don't use EWWW image omtimser. And don't use WA site speed tool.
Pleade let me know how to handle it.
OK EWWW is a WP plugin so just down load and follow instructions and it will optimise your images give you a better site speed -
Also contact support and tell the that you would like to use their site speed and they will tell you what to dot start OK
